World master Mckenna and Master Cox-Mckenna in action at the 14th world tae kwon do champions which was held at the Braehead arena in Glasgow 19th and 20th July 2025 and was attended by 1750 people from 20 countries Ashby De La Zouch Tagb Tae Kwon Do was successful winning-silver in ladies super executives heavyweight for ma’am and gold in reverse side kick for sir almost 20 years to the day since he became world champion previously. Instructor James Mckenna said “ to have achieved what we have makes all the sweat, pain and training worthwhile it was amazing being held in Glasgow with an amazing time had by everyone who attended”.

Fabulous but tiring day with world master Mckenna getting silver in mens black belt veterans a big 2 page pool and having to get up 3 times ( thank goodness for jaffa cakes) Adey Hobo for providing transport and reffing like a boss and me gold ladies foot destruction 2 brand new white boards ouch 🦶

We have moved 😃After over 30 years at Ashby school we have moved to Ashby leisure centre North St, Ashby-de-la-Zouch LE65 1HU.Theres loads of parking with no problems and our new room is amazing. Well done to all who came and sweated tonight 🥋🥋😃
