A loss in our opening game of the season against a good AFC Fradley side. We lost to these in pre season by a lot more goals, but today the boys did themselves proud. They battled hard and never gave up so fair play to them 👏
The first half in particular was a great, solid performance and we created a few chances and held our own. We just need to carry these first half performances and energy into the second half, but that will soon come as we get used to playing 9 a side.

A massive well done to Jax for receiving ‘The Player of the match’ award. He listened to all our instructions well and got stuck in and battled hard in the middle of the pitch. Well done Jax 👏 🏆

This weekend sees the start of the new season for all our junior teams, from U7s through to U18’s.

A loss this morning against a strong Ashby Ivanhoe Dragons team. The result didn’t reflect our performance because the lads battled hard and gave it their all in only our second game at 9 a side. We definitely deserved some more goals with the chances we created. Lots of positives to take from this friendly match and also lots to learn. Fitness is key as these pitches are massive and we need to make sure we keep the same energy as the first half for the whole game but that will come. The first half in particular was strong. Well done to all the lads this morning.

Massive well done to Lucas for scoring our only goal of the game but also our first goal playing 9 a side. A lovely finish from a counter attack started and assisted by Jude, whose pace on that wing today caused some problems.

A big thanks to Steve and well done to his team at The Dragons for yet another good game.

Lucas was also presented the ‘Player of the Match’ award which was fully deserved.
Focus now turns to training on Wednesday ahead of our season opener next Saturday.

⚽️𝐖𝐄’𝐑𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊!⚽️

After a month’s break over the summer without a match, we finally return to action this coming Saturday before the season starts the following week. Join us at The Elements Ground (The NFU) as we take on Ashby Ivanhoe Dragons U11s in a friendly match. It’s always a great game when these to Ashby Ivanhoe teams meet and the Dragons are a great bunch of lads.
We will also be playing on the new 9 a side pitch at the club which is very exciting!
Kick off 9am.
