Yoga with Cerys

Yoga with Cerys Yoga instructor offering inclusive, accessible classes designed to improve strength, flexibility, and wellbeing.

Supporting you to build a sustainable practice on and off the mat. Styles of yoga: hatha, vinyasa (flow), yin, restorative and chair. I first came to yoga about twenty years ago when I was going through some turmoil in my life. Yoga is something that I've come back to time and again that has brought me peace and calm. After COVID I completed a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course, but that only

made me want to learn more. So in March 2025 I started my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training. I have been teaching in a local gym since June 2025.

If you’d told me five years ago that I’d leave a successful, science-based corporate career that I’d trained for and built for decades to teach yoga full-time, I wouldn’t have believed you. 🧬 🧪

My path into yoga wasn’t about flexibility or mastering poses. It started because I needed a way to slow down in a life that was constantly asking for more, impacting both my mental and physical wellbeing. What I found in yoga was something that challenged the way I thought, the way I treated myself, and eventually the way I wanted to live.

As someone trained to analyse, solve problems and rely on evidence, I never expected that some of the biggest lessons would come from learning to pause, breathe and listen instead of always doing.

Those lessons gradually spilled into every part of my life. They gave me the confidence to step away from a career that no longer felt like the right fit and create one that feels genuinely meaningful.

Now I have the privilege of meeting people exactly where they are—whether they’re stepping onto a mat for the first time, returning after a break, or simply looking for an hour to switch off from the noise of everyday life. 🙏

On International Yoga Day, I’m feeling incredibly thankful for this unexpected path. For every person who’s trusted me to guide them, for every conversation after class, for the community we’ve built, and for a practice that continues to teach me just as much as it did on day one.

The best part? I still don’t think yoga is about having all the answers. It’s about staying curious, consistently showing up, and being open to learning—again and again.

Happy International Yoga Day. 💜🧘🏻‍♀️

Feeling stiff or tight lately? Next week’s deeply relaxing session is your chance to gently release that.

Long days sat at a desk, busy routines, or just everyday life can leave the body holding tension—especially in the hips, back, and shoulders.

Through slow, supported gentle positions, we’ll give the body time to stretch deeply and safely—helping to improve flexibility and ease areas of tightness. No pushing. No forcing. Just space to soften and open.

✨ Friday 19th June at 7:00-8:30 pm
📍 Rookwood School, Weyhill Road, Andover
Join us while there’s still space.
