Movement is medicine. 🤸‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️🏊‍♀️💪

Find the exercise that you love doing, whether it’s walking, dancing, swimming, yoga, Pilates, gym, horse riding or cycling, any sport….

Movement releases happy endorphins that boost your mood, reduce stress, and support emotional wellbeing. 🥳🥳

It improves circulation, supports the lymphatic system, strengthens the heart, muscles, and bones, increases energy, enhances sleep, and sharpens mental clarity.🥳🥳🥳

Most importantly, movement helps us feel stronger, healthier, and more resilient.🥳🥳🥳

Every step, stretch, and movement counts.🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️❤️❤️

To celebrate Midsummer’s Day, today’s Pilates session in Maulden became a gentle Forest Bathing experience, held outdoors in a quiet dell. 🧘🏼‍♀️👌

We began with a cup of organic fresh lemon balm tea before mindfully walking into the meadow, taking time to notice the different sights, sounds, and sensations around us.

The theme of the session was complete relaxation and connection with the breath, allowing each muscle to soften and release tension. The movements were somatic, which is wonderful for calming the nervous system, improving body awareness, reducing stress, and encouraging natural, effortless movement.

Sometimes less really is a whole lot more. By slowing down, breathing deeply, and giving ourselves permission to rest, we create space for both body and mind to restore and recharge.

Being outdoors in nature brings its own therapeutic benefits, and sharing the experience in a supportive group setting makes it even easier to let go, relax, and simply be present.

Happy Midsummer 😁😁❤️

I had an exciting and productive meeting today with The Ampthill Alchemist discussing a new non-toxic blend made with pure essential oils.

I’m genuinely excited about this collaboration and the possibilities it brings. It’s always wonderful to work with and support local businesses that share the same values of quality, sustainability, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who continues to support my small business. Your support enables me to work with other local businesses and helps me contribute to the many church halls, manor houses, event spaces, and community venues that make our beautiful county so special.

Supporting local really does make a difference, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive community.

Watch this space for more updates coming soon! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

We finished our Wednesday morning Pilates session in the beautiful private church garden in Pulloxhill today.

The birdsong was heavenly, and as we breathed deeply and moved mindfully, our bodies felt relaxed, restored, and renewed.🧘🏼‍♀️

We were also joined by our friendliest neighbouring cat, who popped by to demonstrate exactly how to stretch, relax, and enjoy the moment! 😉

Fresh air, nature, movement, and stillness the benefits of being outdoors are truly amazing. 👌

The amazing benefits of rolling your foot on a spiky massage ball include:

🦶 Releasing tension in the plantar fascia, helping to ease tight, achy feet, especially after long periods of standing, walking, or exercise.

🦶 Improving circulation, the gentle pressure stimulates blood flow, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the tissues of the feet.

🦶 Reducing foot pain, particularly beneficial for those experiencing plantar fasciitis, arch discomfort, or general foot fatigue.

🦶 Increasing mobility and flexibility, helps loosen the muscles, fascia, and connective tissues of the feet and ankles.

🦶 Stimulating nerve endings, the feet contain thousands of sensory receptors, and spiky ball massage can awaken and invigorate these pathways.

🦶 Supporting balance and posture healthy, mobile feet create a stronger foundation for the whole body, influencing alignment from the ankles up to the hips and spine.

🦶 Encouraging relaxation, many people find foot rolling deeply soothing and grounding, helping to reduce stress and tension throughout the body.

Roll slowly from heel to toes for 1–2 minutes on each foot, pausing on any tender spots and breathing deeply. Consistency often brings the greatest benefits.

We all are aware of what stress feels like.

Over time, this keeps your nervous system in a state of low activation that never quite switches off. A nervous system that never switches off is a body that never fully recovers.

Slow down, deep calming breaths. Make time for YOURSELF ❤️🧘🏼‍♀️❤️

Today, during Carers Week, I want to celebrate the incredible people who so often go unrecognised for the amazing care, support, and love they give every day.

I would like to say a huge, above and beyond thank you to my husband, who became my carer when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

In fact, he physically went to the doctor’s surgery and made my very first appointment, the first step of my breast cancer journey, because at the time I was still in denial.

While trying to run a business and keep our home together, he took me to every appointment, sat patiently by my bedside reading to me, held my hand when I needed comfort, organised the laundry, and managed all the mundane chores that keep a household ticking over. Taking care of our animals.

He did everything he could to make me comfortable. When I could barely walk, he took me on little drives to nearby villages for a change of scenery. He called in our children and grandson when I was at my lowest to lift my spirits and remind me what I was fighting for.

The list goes on.

Today, there are countless homes across the country and around the world where carers are quietly giving their time, energy, patience, and love to those who need them most.

To every carer, thank you. Your kindness, dedication, and selflessness make a difference every single day, often in ways that nobody else sees.

And to my husband, thank you will never be enough, but I hope you know just how much your love, strength, and unwavering support meant to me, and still do. I would not have got through that journey without you.

Happy Carers Week to all the amazing carers out there. You are seen, appreciated, and deeply valued.
