The Elterwater path at dawn... a lovely bridleway that makes an ideal route on foot or bike between Skelwith Bridge and Elterwater and the Langdale Valley. Its stunning right now with a good forecast for the week too. Just to make it even more lush the whooper swans are here in great numbers on their migration route and they are magnificent!

A nice view over the Langdale Pikes from Blea Tarn caught in the evening sunlight...
I'd forgotten how lovely it can be here. Everything is transformed by the sun, of course!
There are some great walks from and up to the tarn, none of which feature in Wild Swimming Walks Lake District. However, adventure is there for the finding :)

I don't usually go in for book recommendations but the Ravens Nest is an excellent read. I'm enjoying reading it immensely. See you there :)

Waterstones Book Signing and saying hello day MKII... My rescheduled visit to Kendal Waterstones is this Tuesday, 23 August, address 7 Westmorland Centre, Kendal LA9 4LR. 11:00 - 14:00ish.
