Pythons and Ellington Fundraising!🐍💙

Hi everyone,

We’re raising funds for the Ellington & Amble Juniors U12s through a sponsored walk by the coaches from Bambraugh to Cresswell, with all money raised being split equally between both teams.

With the new season coming up and the prospects of new gear and trips to flamingo land tournament in the works we will be looking to get fundraising to support both teams!

The Ellington and Pythons lads will be joining us for the final stretch, and we’re looking forward to finishing the journey together. Any support, big or small, will help provide opportunities and experiences for all of the boys involved.

Pythons Presentation 🐍 🏆

Yesterday our lads had our 25/26 season presentation where we celebrated a successful first season stepping up to 9v9.
We couldn’t be prouder of the lads this season and all their efforts have been impeccable, watching these lads come together week in week out and work for each other is brilliant to see.

Thank you all for your support this year and we can’t wait for next season!

🐍 Pythons Finish Season Strong 💪🏻 🔵

The Pythons rounded off the season in style with a hard-fought win against a tough, well-organised Whitley Bay side.

We started the game strong, getting at them down both flanks with pace and some excellent link-up play. Despite our positive start, a quick counter caught us out and their striker produced a moment of quality to go one-on-one and finish.

The response from the lads was exactly what we’ve come to expect — heads didn’t drop. We were back on level terms quickly when our in-form No.11 smashed home at the back post into the top corner. Soon after, another attacking move down the left saw our Man of the Match through on goal. His first effort rattled the bar, but with incredible reactions he acrobatically volleyed the rebound home — a brilliant finish.

Into the second half, confidence was high and we continued to push forward. The opposition remained dangerous on the counter, but our defence stood strong, dealing with everything thrown at them.

We extended our lead when a powerful strike from our striker proved too much for the keeper, who could only parry it into the net. And right at the end, our left winger was quickest to react in the box to score with the final kick of the game.

A performance that summed up our season — resilience, quality, and a never-give-up attitude. The lads dug deep once again to get the result.

A big thank you to Whitley Bay for a great game and to everyone who has supported us all season. Plenty more to come from this group next year! 🐍🔵

* No.23 – Outstanding on the left wing, phenomenal performance with great footwork and constant attacking threat.
* No.8 – Led the line brilliantly, with excellent pressing and killer through balls throughout.

🐍 Pythons Shine in Impressive Home Win 🔵

The Pythons produced a fantastic performance at home, showing quality, confidence, and attacking flair to secure a well-deserved win.

From the first whistle, both wingers were causing real problems, getting at their defenders down both flanks and stretching the game. The team looked solid defensively and played with great confidence, building from the back and linking play through the lines with some excellent football. Despite all the positive play, we couldn’t quite find the breakthrough in the first half, with both sides showing quality in a well-contested opening period.

The second half told a different story. The breakthrough finally came after a brilliant move from left to right, finished off by No.11 on the right wing with a well-taken strike.

That opened the game up, and soon after our left winger made an immediate impact. Driving forward with real intent, he found space and finished superbly into the top corner. Not long after, he repeated the trick with another excellent goal before completing a fantastic hat-trick, reacting quickly in the box to stab home his third. 🎩

Late in the game, our striker returned to the pitch and capped things off in style, unleashing a thunderbolt from outside the box into the top corner — a brilliant way to round off the performance.

A top team display full of fluid football, character, and attacking quality. The lads showed real confidence and worked hard for each other to get a thoroughly deserved win. Well done boys! 🐍🔵

🐍 Pythons Show Quality and Character to Earn Late Point 🔵

The Pythons picked up a well-earned draw at home in a game full of positives, with some excellent football on display throughout.

From the start, the lads played with real confidence and composure. The work from training was clear to see, with great communication, slick link-up play, and calm build-up from the back. We created plenty of chances in the first half and were unlucky not to be ahead.

A ball over the top saw the opposition take the lead, but the response from the lads was spot on. Into the second half, we continued to play some really good football, moving the ball well and creating more opportunities. Despite going behind again from a back-post scramble, the belief never dropped.

With 10 minutes to go, the Pythons showed real character. A brilliant ball over the top sent our striker through, and he finished calmly to get us back into the game.

The lads kept pushing and got their reward in the final moments — another excellent through ball split the defence, and our striker finished confidently to earn a deserved point with the last kick of the game.

A performance full of quality, effort, and resilience — plenty to be proud of and lots to build on. Well done lads! 🐍🔵

🐍 Another Strong Performance from the Pythons 🔵

It’s amazing what a run of games and training can do for the lads, and that was clear to see this weekend with a really competitive game from start to finish.

The first half started well with the boys playing some good football, showing much more composure on the ball and working hard for each other from back to front. We created some good chances through strong play down the wings, including a strike that rattled the crossbar and another chance that just missed the back post.

Defensively the lads looked solid and organised, with the midfield battling hard to win second balls and keep us on the front foot. Unfortunately we went behind just before the break when a big bounce took the ball over our keeper and into the net.

After a positive half-time talk and a few changes, the lads came out firing in the second half and quickly found an equaliser when one of our wingers produced a brilliant long-range finish. The team kept pushing forward, building well from the back and linking play nicely as the pressure grew.

We were caught again by a good finish from the opposition, but the reaction from the lads was excellent. Winning the ball high up the pitch, our makeshift striker stepped up with a great finish into the bottom corner to bring us level again.

With momentum on our side, the Pythons continued to push and were rewarded when our other winger found the winner with a superb first-time finish. The final minutes saw the lads defend brilliantly as a team to see the game out and secure a well-earned win.

⭐ Coaches Player of the Match – Our right back, who was excellent all game. Strong defensively, composed on the ball and worked tirelessly up and down the flank.

🐍 Pythons Show Quality and Character in Big Win 🔵

The Pythons came out playing some really fluid football, moving the ball well and controlling large spells of the first half. We defended tremendously as a team, staying organised and strong in the tackle, while also creating a few good chances that we just couldn’t convert. Our keeper was outstanding before the break, producing some tremendous saves to make sure we went in level.

Early in the second half we were caught sleeping at the back post and the opposition took the lead. But the response was excellent. We kept playing our football with confidence and purpose, and the equaliser came after a superb cutting pass into the channel allowed our striker to beat two defenders and squeeze the ball through the keeper’s legs.

We continued to play some lovely flowing football and were rewarded when another great through ball saw our striker brought down in the box. He stepped up and calmly converted the penalty to put us ahead.

The final minutes showed our defensive strength again, digging in and throwing bodies on the line. In the dying moments, their powerful strike was matched by an unbelievable save from our keeper to secure the win.

A brilliant team performance built on fluid football, tremendous defending, and real determination. Well done lads! 🐍🔵

🐍 Narrow Home Defeat in Competitive Battle 🔵

The Pythons were narrowly beaten at home in a highly competitive game that could have gone either way.

We went a goal down early, but the response from the lads was excellent. The defence tightened up and we began to move the ball with confidence, playing some fluid football to work our way back into the game. The equaliser before the break was well deserved after a strong spell of pressure.

The second half was evenly matched, with both sides creating chances and pushing for control. It felt like the next goal would be decisive, and unfortunately the opposition took the lead after a well-worked move and a strong finish.

To their credit, the lads never stopped fighting. The effort and commitment were there right until the final whistle, but it just wasn’t meant to be on the day.
