🏉 Mens Openage – Midlands Division 1/Merit League

This Saturday brings Midlands Rugby League to South Normanton. Toda we welcome N.E.W Ravens to Broadmeadows Rec for our latest game in the Midlands Division League – Ravens currently sit second in the league so will be a very competitive encounter!!

🔴⚫️⚪️ North Midlands Knights at Today’s Midlands Junior Festival – Hosted by Shrewsbury Lions! ✨✨

The North Midlands Knights junior squads were back in action today as they travelled to Shrewsbury Lions for the latest Midlands Junior Festival of 2026.

From the start, our juniors represented the club brilliantly, supporting one another, giving everything, and showing how much they love being part of the Knights family.

It is 2 weeks today until we host the next Midlands Junior Festival at our Broadmeadows Recreational Ground in South Normanton on the 28th of June , so we hope to see you all there in attendance !!!!!

👏 A massive thank you to Shrewsbury Lions for hosting, Our Juniors Head Coach Rob Winstanley and volunteers for their support, and to the parents for travelling and cheering the teams on.

💥 The North Midlands Knights are building something special — and our juniors are right at the heart of it.

🏉 Junior & Youth training continues on Tuesdays at 6.30pm. New players are always welcome — there’s still a huge summer of rugby ahead!

🔥 UP NEXT FOR OUR JUNIORS 🔥

Our North Midlands Knights junior players are back in action as we head to the Midlands Juniors Festival hosted by the Shrewsbury Lions.

🏉 Sunday 14th June 2026
📍 London Road Sports Centre, Shrewsbury (SY2 6PR)
⏰ 11.00am kick off

The players have been flying in training and can’t wait to pull on the Knights jersey for another big day of exciting rugby league, teamwork, and development.

❌ GAME OFF – TONIGHT’S FIXTURE CANCELLED ❌

Unfortunately, Nottingham Outlaws have been unable to raise a team, so tonight’s scheduled Midlands Division 1 game is OFF.

Frustrating one for the lads who were ready to go, but we now plan for the next one on the 20th June vs N.E.W Ravens.

🔴⚫⚪ OWEN BROADHURST — MIDLANDS DIVISION 1’S TOP TRY SCORER & TOP POINTS SCORER FOR MAY 🔥

👏👏 Massive congratulations to our Skipper Owen Broadhurst, who’s just been confirmed as May’s Division 1 Top Try Scorer AND Top Points Scorer. A huge achievement — and fully deserved!

Owen’s performances have been electric all month: Powerful carries. Big moments. Relentless work rate. Tries when they matter - Exactly what Knights rugby league is all about.

High‑intensity prep continues as we sharpen up for Midlands Division 1 and Merit action and the return of friday night rugby league !!!

🔴⚫️⚪️North Midlands Knights Shine at the Midlands Junior Festival ✨✨

The North Midlands Knights junior squads did the club proud yesterday as they travelled to Bassetlaw Bulldogs for the latest Midlands Junior Festival for 2026. From the first whistle to the last, every Knights player showed exactly what our club is about — effort, teamwork, respect, and a real love for the game.

A huge congratulations goes to our two festival award winners:

🏆Greysen K – U10s Knights Player of the Festival

🏆Archie L– U8s Knights Player of the Festival

Both lads were outstanding throughout the day, leading by example with their work rate, attitude, and commitment in every game. The club is incredibly proud of them.

Across all age groups, the Knights players threw themselves into the festival with energy and enthusiasm. The rugby was competitive, the spirit was brilliant, and the smiles said it all. Every player who took part enjoyed the day and represented the club superbly.

The Knights Junior & Youth Squads now look ahead to the next Midlands Junior Festival, hosted by Shrewsbury Lions on June 14th, where the squads will be ready to go again and continue their development.
