Willow (Aka DJ Willow) was fantastic in both the drills and the match. Her goalkeeping is also improving each week. Well done Willow and thank you for the cakes 😊

First match of the season against Barton Rovers. Tough result today girls, but plenty of positives to take from the game! We know what we need to work on and we will come back stronger ⚽️ Keep your heads up, keep working hard and we go again next week.

Fantastic in defence as always! Always moving, getting into position and often having to deal with more than she should. Brilliant performance.

Trainer of the Week ⭐️Scarlett⭐️

Scarlett put in a fantastic effort during the bleep test and showed great determination from start to finish. She was unstoppable! She also listened really well to the coaches, worked hard throughout all of the drills and carried that effort into the match too. ⚽️

Picked by all his teammates, which proves he’s either genuinely class or just the best at bribery! 😂 A proper utility man who can play anywhere on the pitch, never moans and always gets on with the job. Fully deserved, Little Liam! 👏

⭐ Coaches’ Player Over 40 – Adam Cantrill
A brilliant winger who is genuinely missed when he can’t make a game… mainly because someone else then has to try run down the wing! 😂 Quality player and a thoroughly deserved award. 👌

⭐ Coaches’ Player Under 40 – Scott Parsons
A battling centre midfielder who can pop up and score from absolutely anywhere… although apparently 12 yards from the penalty spot is where his GPS stops working! 😂⚽

Rest in peace Noah 💔❤️

Sleetmoor United are heartbroken to hear of the passing of 13-year-old Noah Toplis, a cherished member of our football club.

To honour Noah's memory, all teams will be participating in a minute's silence prior to their opening matches this season.

Our U14 Barca's manager, Tim, wished to say a few words on his time knowing Noah:

"Noah was an extremely popular member of the team who simply loved playing football. He never missed a training session or a match, and he gave everything, every time. His pace and his willingness to run were commented on by opposition coaches more than once, and he impressed so much in his first season that he won Coach's Player of the Year.

We'll remember the nervous smile before kick off and the beaming one after he'd scored or we'd got a result. He was an outstanding young man and he will be sorely missed by everyone involved with the team. We'll hold on to all the good times and the laughs we shared in our short time together.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends."

Rest in peace, Noah. You will always be remembered at Sleetmoor United and will be forever in our hearts ❤️
