🔴⚪ FRANKLYN 🔴⚪

A big congratulations to Franklyn, this week’s Trainer of the Week! 👏⚽️

Franklyn joined the team over the summer and has settled in brilliantly. He doesn’t look out of place at all and has quickly become a great addition to the squad.

He played his first game last weekend and absolutely smashed it! 💪🔥

He always gives his best effort at training, works hard and is constantly looking to improve. His attitude and commitment have been brilliant to see.

Keep up the great work, Franklyn! 💙

🔴 Vale of Leven Reds | Matchday

Another tough loss for the Reds this week, against a very good side.

We know the scoreline doesn’t reflect it, but as coaches we can see a definite improvement in most of the players and we’re getting closer to being able to compete more regularly each week. We can see more of them trying to implement what we practise in training, which is really encouraging.

Franklyn played his first game today and was brilliant. Definitely ready to play every week in our opinion! 👏

Caelen was Captain this week and put in another solid performance. It’s 100% from him every week. 💪

Man of the Match: Jack L 🏆

Jack ran constantly, put in good tackles and tried to get us forward at every opportunity. A brilliant effort from him today!

Really happy to see the progress the boys are making. We know the results will come, and we couldn’t ask for any more effort from them.

Plenty to be proud of from them all today! ❤️

Tough game for the Whites today, led by Captain Coire, against a very good Bishopton side. 🔴⚪️

We were unlucky not to get the win today, just getting pipped right at the end. Every single one of them gave it absolutely everything, and we couldn’t ask for any more from them as coaches. 💪

We couldn’t pick a standout today as every one of them played their part, but the Bishopton coaches picked Brayden as their POTM. 👏🏆

Plenty to be proud of from them all today. They showed great effort, determination and team spirit from start to finish.

Well done, boys! ❤️🤍

🔵⚪️ INTER-CLUB FRIENDLY 🔴⚪️

It was brilliant to see the Vale boys playing against each other, getting plenty of football and enjoying themselves along the way. The competitiveness was there, but more importantly, there were plenty of smiles, teamwork and good football on show. ❤️🤍

These nights are exactly what it’s all about, giving the boys the chance to play together, challenge each other and enjoy being part of the Vale. 👏⚽️

A big well done to Dylan and Oscar, who have been chosen by the coaches as this week’s Trainers of the Week for their efforts across Monday and Wednesday’s training sessions! 👏⚽️

What we look for in our Trainer of the Week:

🤝 Teamwork & helping others
👂 Listening and taking on board coaching
🏃 Attitude and commitment
⭐ Setting a positive example for their teammates

Both boys showed great effort, attitude and commitment throughout the week and fully deserved the recognition.

🔵⚪ Well done, Blues! ⚪🔵

A great win for the boys today in a fiercely contested game.

While results aren’t the most important thing at this age, the hard work, teamwork and character on show certainly were. Going two goals behind against a physical side, the boys showed great determination to fight their way back and secure the win. 💪

⭐ Captain Jack led the team well today, scoring twice and putting in a great shift.

🧤 Man of the Match – Carter, selected by the opposition coach after an excellent performance. Some brilliant saves, quick off his line and plenty of bravery when coming out to win the ball.

⚽ Special mention to Max, who grabbed the winner and worked tirelessly throughout the game.

A fantastic team effort from start to finish.

A big well done to both our Vale of Leven Whites & Reds today! 👏⚽️

The Whites put in a brilliant performance in a fiercely contested local derby against Newton Rock, while the Reds faced a tough fixture against Port Glasgow and worked hard right to the final whistle. 💪

Today we also introduced team captains, giving the boys the chance to take on a little extra responsibility and leadership.

Great to see the Vale of Leven Blues doing so well and competing brilliantly in their 3rd league fixture in the Glasgow League! 🔵⚽️

This week, we’ve introduced the role of captain to the team, with Aaron taking the armband last week. 💙

Giving the kids this responsibility helps build confidence, creates a sense of importance and belonging, and encourages leadership, communication and teamwork. We’ll be rotating the captaincy so everyone gets the opportunity to take on the role.

Another positive step in their development, both on and off the park. ⚽️💙🤍
