This Saturday we are on our travels again, this time to face AUTIC FC in 1st round of the Barclay Cook Cup.

Upper Deeside continue their great start to the season with 5 wins from 5.

Upper Deeside got off to a great start and after only two minutes captain Steven Travers rose highest to power home a bullet header from a Fraser Morrison corner, giving Upper Deeside the perfect start.

Upper Deeside continued to dominate and doubled their lead on 23 minutes. A goal mouth scramble saw Aidan Simpson get the final touch to knock it home and put us 2-0 up.

Port Erroll pulled one back to make it 2–1, but Upper Deeside responded brilliantly. On 39 minutes, Jamie Coutts restored their two-goal cushion, with Fraser Morrison once again providing the assist.

Half-time 3-1

The second half saw Upper Deeside continue where they left off

On 50 minutes, Nathan Mackie found the net to make it 4–1, before the forward struck again in the 64th minute to put Upper Deeside firmly in control at 5–1.

Just three minutes later, Aiden Reid got his name on the scoresheet, with another wonder strike making it 6–1 on 67 minutes.

Port Erroll grabbed a second goal, but there was to be no comeback as Upper Deeside saw the game out.

A superb performance from the whole squad.

The result means five wins from five, with Upper Deeside now sitting six points clear at the top of the league.

A Nine-Goal thriller

Upper Deeside FC delivered a fantastic performance resulting in a 9-0 victory in which they controlled from the very first whistle.

The boys wasted no time making their mark. After just 4 minutes, Scott Duncan fired Upper Deeside into the lead, with Jamie Coutts providing the assist. Nine minutes later, the roles were reversed as Jamie turned provider into goalscorer, finishing Scott’s pass to make it 2-0.

The pressure kept building, and Scott Duncan struck again on 26 minutes. Just three minutes later, Liam Reid added a fourth, once again benefiting from Jack’s creative work once again.

Upper Deeside continued the pressure and Aiden Reid made it 5-0 in the 36th minute what can only be described as a contender for goal of the season. The boys headed into the half time with a commanding advantage and the match firmly in their hands.

Murray Crawford extended the lead to 6-0 on 59 minutes, with Liam Reid supplying another assist. Just five minutes later, Nathan Mackie joined the scoring party, making it 7-0 with Liam Reid again involved in the build-up.

Scott Duncan completed a great hat-trick in the 75th minute to make it 8-0, before Jamie Coutts put the finishing touch on a magnificent team display, scoring in the 81st minute, 9-0 final score

🩵💜UPPER DEESIDE CONTINUE PERFECT START WITH 7-2 WIN🩵💜

Upper Deeside continued their excellent start to the season with a convincing 7-2 victory over West End United at Hazelhead last night, making it three wins from three.

It was a dream start for Upper Deeside, who took the lead with just 53 seconds on the clock. Nathan Mackie kept his composure to slot home and make it 1-0.

The early pressure continued, and Sam Nicoll doubled the advantage in the eighth minute before Jamie Coutts added a third in the 14th minute to put Upper Deeside firmly in control.

West End United responded with a goal in the 44th minute to reduce the deficit to 3-1, and that was how the teams went into the interval.

The second half started in a scrappy fashion, with both sides struggling to find any real rhythm. However, Upper Deeside eventually found their spark in the 69th minute when Scott Duncan made it 4-1.

That goal opened the floodgates. Just two minutes later, Jamie Coutts grabbed his second of the night to put Upper Deeside 5-1 ahead.

Captain Steven Travers then got himself on the scoresheet in the 79th minute, making it 6-1 and putting the result beyond doubt.

West End pulled another goal back in the 87th minute, but there was still time for one final moment of brilliance. Coutts completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute to round off an outstanding evening for Upper Deeside.

A fantastic team performance and another three points on the board. Three games, three wins and plenty of goals. Upper Deeside’s season is off to a flying start!
