As we get ready to start the journey with Upper Deeside FC, it feels like perfect timing. Football has a funny way of bringing people together and hopefully Scotland’s run can inspire a few folk to dust off the boots, get involved with a local club, or give football another go.

Most importantly, enjoy it. Enjoy the celebrations, the late nights, the nerves and everything that comes with watching Scotland on the biggest stage in world football.

It’s been a long wait. Let’s make the most of it.

📢 PLEASE SHARE 📢

The support for Upper Deeside FC since launching the club has been incredible. We’ve been delighted by the number of young players from across Deeside who have already got in touch and shown an interest in being part of the Club.

As we continue putting the squad together for our first season, we’d still love to hear from a few more players, particularly those with a few years of experience them who can help support and encourage the younger lads coming through. Message the page or text/call 07979076993 for more details

We’re also getting ready to announce details of our first training session, which will be open to anyone interested in coming along and getting involved. Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, returning to football, or just fancy seeing what we’re all about, everyone will be welcome.

A few months ago we entered a VX3 competition in the hope of getting some support for the club.

As part of this we had to tell VX3 all about our plans for Upper Deeside FC and our aim of bringing people together from across Deeside through football.

We’re delighted to announce that we were successful and won!

As part of this we will receive 16 full kits for the lads each season for the next three years,10 footballs and 8 polo shirts for the coaches / committee.

They’re also setting up a wee shop on their website for the fans so if anyone fancies an Upper Deeside FC hoodie, polo or hat, you’ll be covered. I’m sure we’ll sell 1000’s… 😂

The first two playing kits are now being made and we can’t wait to share them with everyone over the next wee while.

A massive thank you to everyone at VX3 for their support.

A HUGE thank you to A&M Technical Services Ltd for their incredible support. Their backing has allowed us to turn the VX3 partnership into two full playing kits for the club. We can’t wait to show them off.

Last night’s fundraiser was amazing, and we just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, donated, volunteered, sponsored and supported us.

Because of your kindness and generosity, the evening was a wonderful success and will make a real difference to us going forward . We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive community.

A special thank you to Aboyne Golf Club and SSK Aberdeen for hosting the night. Also thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and to all who contributed prizes, time, and effort behind the scenes, we couldn’t have done it without you.

We hope everyone had a fantastic night!

‼️1 week to go‼️

🔥 Raffle Prize 🔥

We’ve got our first fundraiser on the 23rd of May and are looking for some raffle prizes that people may be willing to help with. Anything at all would be hugely appreciated and will go directly towards helping us get the club up and running for the local area.

As it’s our first year, we’re currently trying to raise money for equipment, footballs, training gear, first aid kits and all the general costs that come with starting a new club from scratch.

Happy to collect anything if that makes it easier 👍 or you can drop them off at Strachan’s of Royal Deeside.

We really appreciate all the support the club has already had locally so far.

⚽️ ADDITIONAL COACHES + PLAYERS WANTED ⚽️

As the season comes to an end for many teams, it’s just the beginning for us at Upper Deeside FC.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to build something strong, bringing together players from across Deeside and the surrounding areas!

We already have a great core group of lads ready to take the team forward, along with a few boys willing to help support the running of things, however we’d still love a bit of extra support on the management/coaching side to help the club develop in the right way.

If there’s anyone in the area interested in getting involved, we’d love to have a chat and share a bit more about what we’ve been building behind the scenes. We genuinely believe it’s something exciting to be part of.

We also know this time of year can bring change for players too. Whether you’re a younger player aged 16+ looking to develop, or someone who’s been involved in amateur football for a number of years and fancies a fresh environment and a new challenge, we’d be keen to hear from you 👍
