After years spent avoiding potholes, battling the elements and busy roads in the U.K, we packed our bags (and our bikes!) and headed to a cyclists paradise….Mallorca. Needless to say we weren’t disappointed. The challenging climbs and exhilarating descents on smoothly tarmacked roads, coupled with stunning scenery and a Mediterranean climate left us in no doubt as to why Mallorca is a firm favourite for amateurs and pros alike. Returning year on year it wasn’t long before we were organising trips and leading excursions for large groups of likeminded friends. The more the merrier. Spurred on by our success and the desire to extend this experience to others Vector Cycling was born.
The next evolution of this story is to expand our team and followers into a local race introducing Vector Cycling Race Team.
Vector Cycling Race Team (VCRT) is the competitive element of Vector Cycling Ltd (Mallorca Cycling Holidays & Training camps). Based in the city and southern area of Oxford - VCRT’s mission is to compete in and promote the sport of Road and Criterium racing. We believe strongly in team commitment and the willingness to work for others to help them achieve their cycling goals. The strength of our team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team. Our aims:
- Develop and maintain a core team of Category 3 & 4 riders of all ages. - Encourage and work as a team to allow riders to reach their full potential – Category 2 and beyond. - Identify racing events suitable for individual development and provide the appropriate support. - Promote camaraderie, fellowship and support within the team. - Represent our sponsors in a professional manner.
