Kincorth 4-1 Golden Tee

Five wins from five for the Penguins as we continue our perfect start to the season with a comfortable win over Golden Tee. 🐧

The lads started on the front foot and were awarded an early penalty. Smithy stepped up and made no mistake, firing it into the top corner to give us the lead.

The Penguins kept the pressure on and were relentless in the early stages, grabbing a second before Badger added another to give us a commanding lead.

Tee pulled one back before the break, but Euan was in great form between the sticks, producing some excellent saves throughout to keep them at bay and make sure the lads remained firmly in control.

HT: 3-1.

Into the second half, the Penguins continued in the ascendancy and controlled large parts of the game. Badger finished off the scoring to complete his brace and make it 4-1.

Tee pushed forward late on looking for a consolation, but the lads held firm, with Euan again called into action when needed, to see the game out and make it five wins from five. 💪

Another three points and another strong performance as we keep the momentum going.

After a week off following our bye in the Scottish Cup, the lads are back in action this Sunday as we return to league duty.

Kincorth 8-0 Kittybrewster

A convincing win for the Penguins against league newcomers Kittybrewster. 🐧

Kincorth took the lead early through Bisco, who lifted the ball brilliantly over the keeper to open the scoring.

Shando followed that up with his first goal for the club to make it 2-0, before the lads really began to take control of the game.

Terry continued his goalscoring form with his second goal in as many games, before a Smithy double put us firmly in control going into the break.

HT: 5-0.

The Penguins continued to apply the pressure after the restart but couldn’t convert for large periods of the second half, while our opposition were limited to just one shot on goal throughout the entire game.

The goals eventually started flowing again late on. Bisco grabbed his second of the afternoon before Sully got himself on the scoresheet to make it seven.

Bisco then rounded off the scoring, completing his first hat-trick of the season and sealing an emphatic 8-0 victory. 🎩⚽️

A convincing performance from start to finish, our first clean sheet of the season and three more points on the board.

A hat-trick and an excellent all-round performance from Bisco, who led the line brilliantly and was a constant threat throughout.

Kincorth 4-3 Inverdee

The Penguins came from behind to take all three points with a dramatic last-minute penalty against high-flying Inverdee. 🐧

After a mix-up at the back, Inverdee were handed the lead after 15 minutes.

The lads regrouped and found the equaliser on 26 minutes through Reece, who found the back of the net with a great finish from the edge of the box.

Just six minutes later, the turnaround was complete. Bisco found himself in the right place and slotted home from close range to put the Penguins 2-1 ahead.

Things then got more difficult as we were reduced to 10 men after our keeper was ordered off, before Inverdee took advantage and found an equaliser before the break.

HT: 2-2.

After the break and a shuffle to the shape and personnel, the lads came out firing. Terry restored the lead just four minutes into the second half, making it 3-2.

Despite being down to 10, the Penguins continued to battle and defended the lead as Inverdee pushed forward looking for a way back into the game.

As legs began to tire, Inverdee eventually found their equaliser late on, with the game looking increasingly likely to finish level.

But the lads never gave up.

In the dying moments, Pyper’s volley struck the hand of an Inverdee player inside the box, leaving the referee with no option but to point to the spot.

Up stepped Leighton, who kept his cool and slotted the penalty away in the 95th minute to secure all three points for Kincorth. ⚽️

Massive credit to the boys. Down to 10 men for the majority of the game and having to dig deep right until the final whistle, the fight and determination shown by the lads couldn’t be faulted. A huge three points against a much-improved Inverdee side.

Man of the Match: Terry ⭐

A goal and an assist from Terry, who never stopped until the final whistle and played a huge part in getting the lads over the line.

A quick turnaround for the Penguins as we’re back in league action on Thursday night for our only summer midweek fixture.

We take on high-flying Inverdee at Sheddocksley, who have made an impressive start to the campaign with three wins from three.

Another tough test for the lads as we look to continue our own strong start and build momentum in the league.

Kincorth 6-3 East End

Another comeback and another three points for the Penguins. 🐧

A slow start saw us fall 2-0 behind early on, but the lads showed plenty of hunger to get themselves back into the game. Drew pulled one back with a composed finish before Pyper struck just a minute later to bring us level.

East End regained the lead before the break, sending us in at half-time behind.

HT: 2-3.

The Penguins came out after the break looking much sharper and were soon level again. A free kick on the edge of the box was put away brilliantly by Lachers to make it 3-3.

From there, the lads kicked on.

Bisco put us ahead for the first time, finishing from close range to make it 4-3, before Smithy added our fifth shortly after.

The game was put to bed from the penalty spot, with birthday boy Leighton Ross stepping up and coolly slotting it away to complete the comeback and make it 6-3. 🎂

Another slow start, but a brilliant response from the lads to battle back twice before taking control of the game in the second half. Still plenty of new faces settling into the squad and a number of changes from last week’s side, so plenty of positives to take as we continue to build.

We go again on Thursday when we take on Inverdee. 💪

Another excellent performance from Ross, putting in a big shift and helping drive the lads on to another win.

RESULT

Kincorth 4-1 Aberfield FC

A strong second-half showing sees the Penguins run out 4-1 winners against Aberfield FC.

Ben opened the scoring from the spot after being brought down by the squealing Aberfield fullback. Aberfield levelled before the break after Woody unfortunately miskicked a clearance into his own net.

HT: 1-1.

The Penguins came out with more hunger after the break, playing some excellent football. New boys Sami Ahmed & Ryan Shand settled in brilliantly, looking composed and comfortable from the off.

Captain CJ restored the lead after a superb move involving the Ahmed brothers down the left, calmly finishing the pull-back to make it 2-1.

Euan Rose then made a huge impact from the bench, pressing everything and adding serious intensity. He produced an absolute peach of a cross for Biscuit, who made it 3-1. Euan was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself, with the Aberfield keeper pulling off several top saves.

The game was wrapped up when Biscuit turned provider again, unselfishly squaring for Sultan to finish off a slick passing move and make it 4-1.

Full credit to a well-organised and well-drilled Aberfield side who made life difficult for the Penguins throughout. They held their shape well, defended stubbornly and showed plenty of discipline, making the 4-1 scoreline a hard-earned result for the Penguins.
