Some days I finish a session and feel like I could go again. Other days the exact same workout or a yoga class feels like I'm moving through concrete.

Same programme. Same exercises. Same yoga flow. Completely different experience.

For a long time I thought it was just me. Bad sleep maybe. Not enough food. A hard week. And yes — all of those things matter. But I started to realise it goes deeper than that.

Modern life doesn't really give us permission to slow down. There's always something to fit in, someone who needs something, a list that never gets shorter. We're running a kind of low-level race most of the time without even noticing it. And then we wonder why we can't just show up and perform on demand.

Tired isn't one thing. There's the tired that comes from doing too much. The tired that comes from thinking too much. The tired where your body is actually fine but your brain is completely empty. They all feel different. And they all need something different.

Once I started paying attention to which kind of tired I was actually in — not just pushing through or giving up entirely — everything shifted. Not because I found some perfect formula. Just because I stopped treating every day like it should look the same.

You can move in all of these states. That's not the question. The question is what actually helps in each one — and that's what this carousel is about.

I don't think all tiredness is the same.

And treating it like it is — might be why consistency feels so hard.

Most plans assume you show up the same every day. But you don't. Nobody does.

There are different states — and they each feel completely different.

The post-busy crash. You were fine all day. The moment you sit down, everything hits at once. Getting back up feels impossible.

Wired but exhausted. Mind still going. Body completely done. You can't switch off but you have nothing left. Rest doesn't feel restful. Movement feels impossible to start.

Mentally full, physically fine. Your body has energy. Your brain has nothing left. You could move — but deciding what to do, getting ready, showing up. That mental load is what stops you.

These aren't excuses. They're just different states. And knowing which one you're in — changes everything.

Have you ever avoided a workout you actually love — not because you don't like it, but because of your mind?

When everything is busy and loud, stillness can feel like the hardest thing to ask of yourself.

A quiet class. Slow movement. No noise to drown out the thoughts.

So you pick something faster instead. Something that matches the chaos rather than asking you to leave it.

That's not a motivation problem. That's not laziness.

It's just that some days, your mind isn't ready to be still yet.

The movement isn't wrong. The timing might be.

Low energy days happen.

Not because you don’t care about it
You know you want to
Because you are tired.

Work.
Kids.
Mental load from running a household
Everything else.

For me, the shift was stopping trying to do the “full” version every time.

And instead having something simple to return to.

Something I don’t have to think about.

Short. Familiar. Repeatable.

Consistency is usually just knowing what to do on days like this.

Just a little update here! 👼

This most precious baby boy was born on 4th of Feb at 7.11am at our bedroom floor at home, after the most challenging wait ever at 42+2 weeks! My oldest daughter, Ella slept through the labour next to labouring mum in bed 🤣

My girls, Ella & Lara are loving their baby brother. It was SO worth all the wait 💓 Lara is too fiddly to make it in to the pictures 🤣 (2-year olds...)

Believe in the power of your body - it truly is designed for birth ❣️As intense as birth gets, the uterus does magic in birth. Women's bodies are incredible 🌟 All you got to do is to surrender to its power.

I had an incredible hands off birth, an amazing doula and incredible midwifes completely supportive of my choices. Even when my choices were against the routine guidelines. This is called informed choice, and should be practised everywhere. Your body - your choice - Never forget that if something feels wrong to you.

I'm taking a little time off from classes, I will be back to teaching Saturdays in Lesnes Abbey from March.

Quite frankly, RETREAT was a game-changer for me ⬇️

I was burnt out, with no boundaries or work-life balance, I wasn't really in tune with myself. I was stressed out and feeling so insecure.

So simple it was to just join this retreat! That changes it all for me.

I felt EMPOWERED again, I was filled with positive thoughts, happier, and more vibrant! I was confident again in my own decisions and happily socialising in my own energetic skin 🌟
