Finally! 🇫🇷 wins at home, and how!! Jeremy Flores who's been coming to since he was a finally clinched a win at and made history for his country and all the proud islands (Madagascar, La Réunion and Tahiti).

I first shot him in 2001, calmly discussing how he was hoping to get into the ASP (now ) and top 10. I was impressed by the resolve and self-belief of this wee 13 year-old👦! My mum who's from Madagascar like his, became his number 1 fan. I was then lucky enough to see him surf in 2014, a rare treat knowing he won the event twice!

And this week he set Hossegor on 🔥, riding after , chandelier, doggy door, standing tall, he did all of them, non-stop. A wonder the man got any tan at all! 😂

Congrats Jeremy, the people on the beach say MERCI!! 👏💪🇫🇷 @ Hossegor La Graviere

You know in has reached a milestone when the boys on the beach eagerly stay for the womens final and punch the air at every ridden. This is all thanks to this young lady, who completely changed the game for . She charges the heaviest and snaps the most powerful turns and throws away point that most competitor would die to get. After one of the commentator mentioned she had a lot of experience at the age of 27, a young French lad exclaimed next to me: "yeah, she has experience, and she has a unique style, and she has class and she fu***ng rips". Sums it up about right.

Congrats Carissa Moore on your win in France at the , that yellow jersey isn't coming off anytime soon! 📷:

"I arrive late in the evening, bleary-eyed from 2,000 kilometers of driving, a family funeral and too little sleep. As the roads turn into streets and the houses huddle in familiar clusters, I take a left cliffside, park hurriedly and run to the parapet: it is still there as I left it three months ago, more unruly perhaps, with irregular lines peaking and troughing to shore, waves rolling their hellos under the roaring wind. “Hello! Hello Ocean, how have you been? You look frazzled! Or am I projecting? I gotta unpack, see you tomorrow, board and all!”. It is cold, damp, dark and windy. “Perfect!” I say out loud as I slam the car door. I am grinning." _

In April, Kim Hanskamp contacted me about a collab with Let's Explore Magazine for their latest issue: Perseverance. Over the following weeks, I applied my to her beautiful blue ocean hues, exploring how had changed how I manage , lack of -confidence and how I created deeper connections within myself and with the wider world. Grateful for all those connections that Swellbound helped create! 🍸to more collabs in the new year!🎆 _
