Une info pour nos amis Clubs voisins.
La Coupe d'Automne aura bien lieu le 20 septembre sur notre terrain, en tenue de couleur, avec balles blanches.
7 joueurs par équipe, durée des innings en fonction du nombre d'équipes engagées (4 ou 5, pas plus), frais de participation 5 euros par joueur.
Sont déjà engagées les équipes Loire cricket Club nantes et Atlantique CC.
Il reste donc 1 ou 2 places, car 2 formules sont possibles. Comme l'an dernier, je vais limiter la date d'inscription.
Faites vite, je ferme l'inscription le 25 juin (mais je pense que j'aurai les réponses avant 😉).

Under the sun again, but with a difference, as the pitch responded much more normally (at least in the 1st innings, as the heat pounding down started to play tricks - lower bounce, mostly, in the 2nd inns).
Visitors from Petosse CC got reinforcements from usual helpers (Loire cricket Club nantes's Jamal, Nasir, Arslan and young Daud) and our own Shabir, Rhett and Nicola. Hopefully we will see more of the Petosse locals on July 5th when we travel there.
What can I say about this game?
Several fine performances, although no-one reached 50 (Ishaq 48, Shabir 49 not out for the visitors, Hamidullah 36).
Bowling-wise, a team effort, with Habib's first wicket (plus 2 catches), we'll make a bowler out of him yet.
Fielding still to be improved (outstanding one-handed diving catch by Ainullah, though).
Saumur CC win by 95 runs, stats below for your enjoyment.
Next week, instead of hosting Loire cricket Club nantes, we travel to Nantes. See ya!

They blasted France away, but could not withstand the legspin of Andy German on his home ground (6-0-36-5).

Good news for our square.
The central sprinkler is back on-line, so watering has resumed.
This also allowed us to notice that we had cut much farther trees-side than last year (we couldn't find the outlet).
It means we have 5 fresh lanes left.
With regular watering, and heavy rolling with the municipal roller, we'll be able to provide again better quality pitches!
Still a long way too go, but we'll get there. 😊

Hi, friends of Saumur CC, former players and visitors!
I have lost a lot of files, mainly photos, but most of the paper archives are still intact and in my keeping!
And by that I mean the SCORE BOOKS!
So, this summer, I will be compiling everything I can find to give you the essential Club stats for batting and bowling.
Today, stats for the 2014 season (at least the score sheets I have).
