Magna Carta: Angillon. Under the Maid’s Banner
French knights and warriors from across Europe will gather beneath the banners once more.
On September 5-6, the grounds of Château de La Chapelle d’Angillon will become the stage for a new chapter in the Magna Carta calendar.
At the heart of the festival, spectators will once again witness the formats that define Magna Carta: the thunder of mass battles, where opposing lines of steel collide in spectacular clashes, and the intensity of the 7 vs 7, where teamwork, discipline, and determination decide the outcome.
This year, however, Angillon will mark an important milestone in Magna Carta’s history.
For the first time, Magna Carta will host an official women’s tournament.
Since the very first Magna Carta event, female fighters have stood shoulder to shoulder with men in the chaos of mass battles, proving their skill, courage, and determination on the field. Earlier this year in Livorno, an experimental all-women’s bout was held for the first time. The response was undeniable.
Now, we are proud to introduce a dedicated category created especially for them.
