C’est à travers cette transmission que le Wing Chun enseigné aujourd’hui dans notre école nous est parvenu.
Être une branche de son Academy, c’est poursuivre cette lignée avec la même exigence : comprendre, préserver et transmettre fidèlement ce qui nous a été enseigné.
Une lignée ne vit que lorsqu’elle continue à être transmise.

The day I formally became a student.
This is the Bai-See ceremony at the VTAA in Hong Kong, with my Sifu, Grandmaster Roland Tong. It’s a tradition that goes back a very long way in Chinese martial arts, and it isn’t a formality. You’re not signing up for lessons. You’re asking a man to take responsibility for passing something on to you, and accepting that you now carry it.
What struck me most afterwards wasn’t pride. It was the weight of it. Everything my Sifu learned in the years he spent with Sigung Ip Man, he was now willing to hand to me — and one day I’d be expected to hand it on again, unchanged, to people I hadn’t yet met.
That’s why we’re careful at the Academy about what we teach and how. Nothing added, nothing taken away. It isn’t stubbornness. It’s a debt.
