2026 NH Shrine Bowl

Well the game did not go the way we wanted, but at the end of the day, we had a great week! Thank you to the Shriners organization for all the hard work that no one sees that goes into this event. I want to thank the amazing coaching staff who gave up their week to help prepare the young men we had the privilege to coach for the week. So much time goes into preparation for this type of event, installing months worth of install in 14 practices, but we pulled it off. These amazing young men came together so quickly, it made the week go by very fast. NH set records in athlete fundraising, coaches fundraising, total money raised, and the longest touchdown pass in game history when Laconia's Jake Tryon threw a half back pass from our own 2 yard line to Kingswood receiver Sarafin Agramonte who took it to the house for a 98 yard TD!
Congratulations to team VT for the win, but in the end, we all win because of what the event really means. Strong legs run, so weak legs can walk.

History made by the 26 NH Shrine Football Team!
Each year at the Shrine Bowl, all athletes from both NH and VT are challenged to raise $500 per athlete to support this amazing cause. At our introduction meeting back in March, I challenged our athletes to double that amount, and as a team, we not only hit that total, we went well over it at $40,000! That does not include an unprecedented $8500 by the coaches! As a reward to the top fund raiser by each team, they are selected as honorary captains. For the first time, because we had 2 athletes within $30 of each other, we were allowed to name them both honorary captains! Congratulations to Franklin High School's George Sarkis who raised $4020, and Newports Adrian Sanchez who raised $3990! The other 4 captains are Luke St Onge from Exeter, John Taylor from Hanover, Eli Guttierez from Milford, and Colin "Drago" Meyers from Mascoma. Congratulations to our captains and all the players and coaches. LET'S GO 603!

Friday prep going well, sunny and hot at 10 am, one more practice this afternoon, then the recognition at the banquet tonight. Boys and coaches are locked in and ready to get some! WOOOOOO!

Rain during this morning's practice, clear sky and 80° for mid day practice! We are polishing the apple getting final preparation for Saturday's big game, the boys were working hard!

The boys are doing great! We have unfortunately been hit with a bit of an injury bug; 4 more players had to remove themselves from playing, and although they will be missed, there is no drop in talent or heart with those who are stepping in. A very rainy day today, got our morning practice in on the game field turf, heavy rains moved us inside for our mid day practice scheduled for the grass field, but we needed to watch film anyway, and we will be back on the game field tonight! You can really feel the vibe changing as we get closer to game day, and we are all pumped and ready to go!

I forgot to mention that the corn hole tournament on Tuesday was won by Laconia's Jake Tryon, and Concord's Jack Gfroerer!

Camp week is going great! We have lost a few players due to injuries, but are still 33 strong! Media day was great, meeting two young men who have been given prosthetics by the Shriners Hospitals, one of them was a high school football player from Lebanon NH that was selected to the 2020 Shrine Bowl, even though he played offensive line with just 1 arm! Flood watch for the next 24 hours means wet practices, but the boys are up for the challenge. Due to thunderstorms we had a few spare hours, so we had a fun corn hole tournament!

Your 2026 NH Shrine bowl team! Day one went great! The boys showed up on time, organized quickly, and we had 2 great practices! We knew we had some really good football players on paper, but now that we have seen them in action, we are even more impressed. We are in for an amazing week! Stay tuned!

The final preparations are going strong as we get ready for camp week this Sunday! We welcome 2 more players to our already strong roster:

Max Sweeney - a 1st Team All State safety from Con Val High School
Tim Fahnbulleh an All State WR and RB from Concord High School

So we are just a few days away from camp week now, and the excitement is boiling! What a group of young athletes we have!end of the fundraising campaign, The fundraising efforts have been absolutely amazing! As we near the end of the campaign, I ask you again to dig deep and give what you can to help this great cause. The Shriner's Children's Hospitals help so many children and their families get through the most difficult situations; be it burns, disease, or prosthetic needs. If you could meet some of these amazing children we do, you would feel the same passion. The NH/VT Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl happens on the football field, and although important to the coaches and players, it is secondary to the money raised and personal effect these athletes will experience next week interacting with the Shrine organization and the children and families we get the honor to meet.
