Bakit maraming Pinoy ang naiiwan o parang “stuck” abroad?

Minsan hindi dahil kulang sa sipag.

Dahil:

Invest in yourself. That’s exactly what changed my life.

Alam n’yo ba, one of the projects na pinaka-proud ako as NGO President was helping 50 mothers in Bacolod start their own businesses.

1️⃣ Don’t just give money, give opportunities.

2️⃣ Together, we are stronger.

3️⃣ Empower, don’t rescue.
Ang goal is not to depend on donations forever, but to help people stand on their own feet.

Seeing these mothers earn their own income and support their families was one of the most rewarding experiences of my NGO journey. ❤️

When I arrived in Luxembourg, isa sa mga unang ginawa ko was to join a Filipino association. I eventually became President of our NGO.

For many years, nag-organize kami ng fundraising events, cultural shows, at mga Pinoy gatherings para makalikom ng pondo para sa mga projects sa Philippines.

✨ 5 tips if you want to make a difference abroad:

✅ Join organizations and build your network.

✅ Volunteer your time and skills, hindi lang pera.

✅ Work with people who share the same mission.

✅ Be transparent and accountable sa mga projects.

✅ Start small.

Isa sa mga projects na ipinagmamalaki namin was helping 50 mothers in Bacolod through microfinance, para magkaroon sila ng maliit na negosyo at dagdag na income.

We also supported a Food Truck livelihood project para magkaroon ng sustainable source of income ang mga pamilya.

What many people don’t know is that Luxembourg invests millions in humanitarian and development projects around the world, at isa ang Philippines sa mga beneficiaries through NGOs and community initiatives.

And this is just one project. ❤️

Marami pa akong stories to share on how a small country like Luxembourg helped communities in the Philippines—and how Filipinos abroad can also make a difference.

After living and working in Europe for more than 25 years, here are the 3 things that helped me succeed:

✅ Learn the language.
Even basic French opened many doors for me. People appreciate it when you make an effort to speak their language.

✅ Study their culture.
Every country has its own way of working, communicating, and building relationships. Understanding the culture helps you integrate faster.

✅ Learn skills and adapt.
The world keeps changing. Keep learning, upgrade your skills, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

✨ And one more thing: Don’t be afraid to try.
I started as a waitress on a cruise ship. I never imagined I would one day work in European institutions and build my own business.

Sometimes, the opportunities you’re looking for are on the other side of fear.

✨ Lesson learned:
Success is not only about what you earn.
It’s also about what you give back.

IT changed my life.

Hindi ako nag-aral sa Europe, pero because of my IT skills, nabuksan ang doors ko to the corporate world in Luxembourg. It allowed me to work in international companies and even European institutions.

That’s why I decided to open a programming school here in France.

My mission is simple: to make young kids aware that technology is not just for playing games or watching videos. They can learn to create, think logically, solve problems, and build confidence at a very young age.

Siguro ito na rin ang way ko of giving back to the country that welcomed me and gave me opportunities for more than 25 years. ❤️

As parents, we invest in toys, gadgets, and activities…

But have you ever thought of investing in a skill that can help shape your child’s future?

The future is digital.

And the best time to start is now. 🚀

Invest in your child’s future today.

My granddaughter is only 10, and my grandson is 8, but what amazes me is that they already speak 5 languages!

They can switch from French to English, then German or Luxembourgish, parang ang dali lang para sa kanila. 😄

Growing up in a multicultural country like Luxembourg gives children a unique advantage. Different languages, different cultures, and different ways of seeing the world become part of their everyday life.

As a proud Lola, I still get amazed every time I hear them speak. It reminds me that children are capable of so much more than we think when given the right environment.
