Mt Saint Victoire is a commanding presence in Aix en Provence. This limestone monolith is visible from almost everywhere. The excellent part is its accessibility with gravel roads allowing for a quiet road circumnavigation, all be it a hilly one.

Created for a day where the wind was howling in from the coast. The ridgeline means for a protected ride from Aix, then a tailwind up the climb back to Aix. The views are pretty exceptional also.

One of the favorite short gravel escapes in Aix en Provence. Great gravel, close to town and a million miles from anywhere.
