The Grasshoppers Netball Club (Grasshoppers) is a non-profit organization aimed at managing and delivering community base development programs to support enthusiastic youngsters in Suva, Fiji. the Grasshoppers began with 9 senior netballers registered in the Nasinu Netball Association in Suva, under Fiji Netball. We now are a member of the Suva Netball Association and have over 100 players from U
9, U12, U14, U16, U19 and open grades. The Grasshoppers boast an array of Fijian Representatives at all National netball levels. We are located in Suva City programs designed around school and national netball activities and providing an avenue for self discipline in sports, education and life. FOUNDER
Alumeci Sachs has a passion for developing young aged group netters and nurturing them form beginners to senior players as they grow through the programs she designs for them. Meci as she is affectionately known or Aunty Meci to the girls in the program, designs, manages and runs netball development although out the year. Her Achievements
Meci was assistant coach to the Fiji U21 Team to the Junior World Netball Cup in 2009 as well as Coach for the Nasinu Netball Association from 2008 to 2011. Since then Meci has dedicated her time to the Grasshoppers annual programs, tours and international; netball festival. Professionally Meci graduated with a Land Management & Real Estate Degree, as well as Post Graduate Degree from the University of the South Pacific and is currently employed as a Valuer in the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources. She has backing and the support of her daughters Marissa and Analicia and her husband John.
