Rakavi - My Story

Growing up I never knew my Dad was a well known rugby player until I reach Sec Sch, and yess its HONDA😁. Athletics was always my Interest until I started playing touch Rubgy with TEAM TIARE a team made up n runned by police children in Nasova/Nasese.
That first touch of the oval ball in 2008 changed everything , combining my speed n strength a new me was BORN. In jst a couple of months I made another switch to RUGBY& I fell in Love with the sport.
18years ago, women's was struggling. I was playing rugby behind my parents back because it was a big NO from them. At times I had to lie to them to go n play on Sat. Women's Rugby wasn't recognized back then so there was also a lack of support not only from the eyes of the public but at home too in some cases.
Fast forward 4yrs years later after I joined the Sport, joined the Fiji Police in 2009 & finally got the support of my Parents and donned the white Jersey in 2012. For years women in rugby have been struggling to be recognized and here we are almost 3 decades later we have the Raluve Trophy.
A.proud moment for all women who have sacrificed and given their best for the sport to grow.🫡👏👏

Tasinia Kea I cavacava na final, igi me.kea I tekitekivu ni lemutu toso me.mutu na uku muni na siqeleti bucobuco. Lequ masu kei na vabaujia ni mutu na sivia na vanua q vo yacovia o au. Tasi.kia na kwa e dredrei vua na Kalou. Lemutu gauna soko ikwe.

Vo kemutou na I tubutubu & coach, oka valevu na visusu kei na vituberi , vitokoni kei na vivabauji. Na lemutu vitokoni kei na yalo ni viciqomi e rewa niru mai waqe na ledu I luve. Madu kaloubura lemadu gauna Madu tasi sotaqea na mataqwali vitokoni kodaki ikwe....oka valevu sara na tokonia na waqe raka ni lewa.

RLOSA, oka valevu for the never ending support to our beloved Sch. I.am also.proud to say that I went to Rt Latianara.🫡🤘🤘💯
