In Loving Memory of Sekaia “Seka” Sovatabua 🕊️

On behalf of the Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL), we extend our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late Sekaia “Seka” Sovatabua.

Coach Seka was more than a player and mentor , he was a true servant of the game. From representing the Fiji Bati , the Nadera Panthers, and the Newcastle Knights, to later giving back by establishing the Veiyasana Knights and Namosi Highlanders, his contributions to rugby league in Fiji and abroad will never be forgotten.

His name lives on through the Sovatabua Shield, a symbol of his enduring legacy every time Namosi and Veiyasana face off.

We honor and remember a man whose passion, leadership, and commitment to the sport inspired many.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Funeral Arrangements
• Funeral Day – Thursday, 11th September 2025
• 7:00am – Body arrives at his residence, Davuilevu
• 9:00am – Lotu (Funeral Service) at his residence, Davuilevu
• After Service – Burial at 9 Miles Cemetery
