It was a pleasure catching up with the National President of the Fiji Muslim Sports Association, Haji Javed Ahmed at the Nadi Muslim College grounds where the Fiji Legends were training today

Haji Javed is keeping a close watch on the preparations and progress of all teams taking part in FANCA Nations World Cup this year. He also shared FMSA’s exciting plans to host FANCA in Nadi in August 2026 with FML's 100 year Celebrations.

During our discussion, Haji Javed strongly emphasised FANCA’s vision and purpose — that FANCA is more than just a sporting tournament. It is a platform that brings Muslim communities from across the region together through sports and remember their roots.

He highlighted that FANCA Federation continues to play an important role in strengthening relationships between nations, promoting youth participation, encouraging healthy competition, and building lasting bonds within the wider Muslim community.

All the best to Haji Javed Ahmed and the FMSA as they continue their preparations for this historic event which is held together with the Centenial Celebrations of FIJI MUSLIM LEAGUE in Nadi from August 22 thus year.

A heartfelt thank you to all teams who participated in the Fiji Muslim Sports Association Volleyball Series- Leg 2 today and helped make the event a great success.

Leg 3 and Final leg will be played in Suva after FANCA Nations World Cup 2026.
