This month, we recognize Vivita Loloma Recoko Bai as our featured swimmer. Vivita, who turns 19 on 3 July, is among our most senior active competitor. She began swimming competitively at seven years old and has demonstrated consistent excellence throughout her swimming career.
Vivita completed her primary education at Nadi Airport School and later graduated from Maharishi High School, where she served as Head Prefect in 2025. Her achievements include representing Fiji at the Junior Pan Pacific Competition in 2021 (Hawaii, USA) the 2023 Pacific Games (Solomon Islands), and the 2025 Mini Games (Palau), and several Australia–Pacific competitions. She has also earned local swimming scholarships in recognition of her talent and commitment.
Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Vivita symbolizes discipline, leadership, and integrity. She has recently commenced her studies at UNIFIJI under the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter to study medicine.
In this moment of recognition, Vivita would also like to extend her heartfelt gratitude to the Rova Family, especially her coach Rosemary Rova for moulding her into the athlete and young woman she is today. Their guidance, support, and belief in her have played a defining role in her journey.
We would like to wish Vivi all the best in her career and whatever she endeavors to achieve!
