What an exciting tour that was for the Susas!! massive congratulations to the girls for battling it up until the quarters, not only has this experience shaped our team to strive for a higher standard in volleyball but has also given opportunities to young female athletes; rewarding and recognizing them for the hard work they put in and loyalty to the club.
Firstly, a big Tanikiu Bada herea to the Ugava family for sponsoring this whole tour and making sure it was as comfortable as possible. We wouldn’t have made it this far without yous, who would’ve imagined a small ladies volleyball team in Nadi that started just roughly 5 years ago would already be touring internationally for tournaments! we are ever grateful for all that yous do for us.
Secondly, to the girls, give yourselves a pat on the back for all the trials in tribulations endured leading up to the tour, despite all the struggles we went through, we managed to stay in our lane and overcome obstacles to make this tour possible.
Shoutout to Tau Sports Fiji for the uniforms and striking design showcasing the revareva (traditional tattoo in PNG) caught many eyes as the girls looked unique! A look that’s never been done before! From our vests to volleyball long sleeves, What a stunner!
Also a big thank you to for joining the team in NZ and being our tour guide/uber😂 we look forward to having you alongside us next time round. Vinaka Vaka Levu to for the warm welcome, warm up equipment and support from the as well as for the Fijian Community for coming out in numbers to provide refreshments, support and for dinner.
That being said, thank you to every one of our friends and family that helped in whatever way they did, from supporting us in our games, showing up for our fundraisings to farewelling us at the airport, we appreciate the love and support to helping our girls keep the ball flying.
If you’ve read along and made it this far, we decided to save the best for the last to excitedly announce that the Susas will be going back to NZ for their Second tour in Jan 2027!! and will be planning on touring internationally annually!!
