We are thrilled to unveil the upgrading of our very own Naviti Tikina Primary & Secondary School – Yawesa Grounds, a cornerstone of our Way Forward YRU 5-year strategic plan. This facility is to become the vibrant hub for our island’s grassroots, clubs, Tikina franchise, and Skipper competitions from 2025 onward, reflecting our deep commitment to reconnecting with our Vanua and its resources.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to MYKK Trust and South Sea Cruises for providing travel passes, and to FRU’s Mr. Ben Takubu along with the YRU Executives for inspecting the grounds for rugby community use. This initiatives will proudly establishes it as our second home ground alongside Nacula Tikina’s Rt Meli Mem School ground.

🏉 YASAWA RUGBY SUPER WEEK WORKSHOP SUCCESS! 🌊

Cola Vina Yasawa Rugby Vuvale !

We have just wrapped up an incredible YRU Rugby Super Week Workshop - (including ILM/PLM courses), bringing together representatives from the five Tikina in the Yasawa Islands and Club reps here at the mainland to participate in this important rugby development initiative.

A massive Vinaka Vakalevu to our Chiefs and the MYKK Trust for their support in making this possible. Special thanks to South Sea Cruises for providing FOC travel passes, ensuring our island reps could attend without barriers.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CMF Church Hall for generously hosting this week-long event, creating the perfect space for learning and development.

A big thank you to our Rugby Development Officers (RDOs) and World Rugby Educator for leading the workshop and sharing valuable knowledge that will shape the future of Yasawa Rugby.

Lastly, we acknowledge and appreciate all the YRU Executives and Managements for their unwavering support and participation in our Way Forward Presentation ( Cavuikalawa Vou), ensuring the success of YRU as a whole.

This is just the beginning! We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue developing and strengthening rugby in the Yasawa Islands.
