AWCC secures promotion to the Finnish Premier League! 🌟

What a journey this has been! After the disappointment of last year’s narrow miss, which left the team broken and facing an uncertain future, we undertook a major rebuilding effort. We kept believing, and we kept fighting. 💪

It wasn’t always pretty. For much of the season, we struggled to find our rhythm and were even on the verge of missing out on the playoffs. But when it mattered most, the boys responded. With heart, fight, and unbelievable energy, AWCC roared back into the competition.

And what a way to finish!! Securing promotion to the Cricket Finland Finnish Premier League by defeating Helsinki Cricket Club, the country’s oldest and most successful team. A true statement of who we are and what we can achieve together.

A huge thank you to Turku Tigers - TT for the fruitful collaboration throughout this season, your support has meant so much. 🫡 And of course, deep gratitude to our proud sponsor, Siivousliike Aton-Yhtiöt, for standing with us on this journey. 🙏

Brilliant team effort! 👏 The bowlers set the tone with disciplined spells 🙌 special praise to Mishok Islam for leading the attack with 3 crucial wickets 🔥 while , Jony Aminul, Mohammad Atikur Rahman, and Abu Al Saeid Rajon bowled tight spells to keep things under control.

With the bat, Sheikh Akib Javed stole the show with a stunning, match-winning 79* off 51 balls, and together with Arifuzzaman Rabby, built a superb 106-run partnership that sealed the game. 💪 Rayhan Sagor chipped in with quick runs too!

Great momentum and spirit- let’s carry this energy into the next vital clash! 🐺

Playoffs secured! 💪

In a must-win match, our batters lit up the field✨Sheikh Akib Javed’s blazing 51, Abu Al Saeid Rajon’s quickfire 35, and others contribution powered us to 206/6. 🏏🔥 Then our spin trio Mohammad Atikur Rahman, Jony Aminul, tore through Turku Hawks to seal an 81-run win. 🌪🐺 Batters built it, spinners finished it!

Congrats to Turku United Cricket Club, and best of luck for your playoff game! 🤝

AWCC Storm Riders delivered a fantastic all-round performance to defeat Turku Hawks by 54 runs. 🏏

It was a true team effort with the bat, as multiple players stepped up with valuable contributions. Shariful Alam Shourov led the charge with a quickfire knock, while others chipped in to build a strong and competitive total.

In response, Turku Hawks struggled against outstanding opening spells from Ahad Min Rafi & Sheikh Akib Javed , who set the tone early. Nawaz & Jony Aminul kept the pressure on with a tight and disciplined spell.

AWCC Storm Riders secured a solid 30-run win over NWSC Warriors! 💪🐺

What a debut from Sheikh Akib Javed a blazing 60 off just 34 balls! A fearless start to his journey in the Wolves’ den! 🔥 🧿

On the bowling front, the magician Jony Aminul was unplayable with his 5/14 in 4 overs - proving once again why he's the best left-arm spinner in the league! Backed up by excellent spells from Mishok Islam Barfi and Imran Azim , the Warriors were kept in check all the way. 🧿

A complete team performance with everyone stepping up when it mattered most! 💪

Great win for AWCC Storm Riders! Batting first, we set a strong total of 178/6 thanks to some outstanding performances from Arifuzzaman Rabby led from the front with a solid 70 off 61 balls and Jony Aminul smashed a quickfire 56 off just 36 balls.

Our bowlers did the job by restricting Shaurya CC to 145 all out in 19 overs. Azim Imran led the bowling with 3 wickets for 28 runs.

Strong team effort, solid win, and great energy on the field. Let’s carry this momentum into the next match! 🏏
