Vaasan Karhut Cricket Club at Liikuntarieha 2026 🏏
VKCC was proud to participate in the Liikuntarieha event at Botniahalli, organized by Vaasan Kaupunki, where we had the opportunity to introduce cricket to children and sports enthusiasts from across the Vaasa region.

It was great to see so many people trying cricket for the first time, learning basic skills, and enjoying the spirit of the game. Events like these are important for promoting diversity in sports and encouraging community engagement through physical activity.

A big thank you to the and everyone who visited our station. We hope to see many new faces on the cricket field soon! ❤

Great news for our cricket community🏏

The Huutoniemi School field will be developed for cricket during spring 2026. This is something our community has been waiting for years, and it marks an important step forward for the growth of cricket in the city.

At a time when five European nations are already competing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, this development shows that cricket is no longer a fringe sport in Europe. It’s growing, it’s global, and Vaasa is now becoming part of that journey.

We sincerely appreciate the efforts behind this initiative, especially Hussain Sarwar Khan (City Councilor, Vaasa), whose work helped move this motion forward.
