Brief about Trollingträff Åland 2026!

The website update has begun and is scheduled to be completed latest Monday 19.1 2026. Registration for 2026 will open one week later, on 26.1.2026.

As mentioned the 2026 event will look roughly the same as in 2025, meaning i.a. the following will apply:

🎣All skipper meetings, weigh-ins, meals, etc. will take place in Käringsund, giving participants the opportunity to meet and socialize with other trolling anglers beyond the actual fishing.

🎣2 fish/ team can be weighed in per day, including those with the adipose fin intact if caught within the 4-mile line.

🎣 3 days of fishing, and in 2026 we hope to give you the opportunity to fish overnight from Friday to Saturday, which was canceled this year due to strong winds.

Additionally in 2026 we will directly offer an option to register at a reduced price, which does not include meals or boat mooring. So there will be two different registration options for Trollingträff Åland 2026. More details will follow.

We will meet again 3-6.6.2026! 🎣🤩

Finally! After first waiting for the EU’s decision and then for the final local approvals, we can now announce that Trollingträff Åland will be held again 3-6.6. 2026.

The EU Commission’s Agriculture and Fisheries Council has made its decisions for 2026, and the Government of Åland has also issued its decisions regarding Åland, which belongs to ICES Subdivision 29.
These are the rules for 2026:

From May 1 to August 31 recreational fishing for salmon is allowed north of latitude 59°30′ N in areas within four nautical miles from the baselines. This means that there are no restrictions on recreational salmon fishing during this period in the area mentioned above. Salmon with the adipose fin intact may also be caught.

Therefore Trollingträff Åland will be held as planned from June 3–6, 2026, largely following the same format as in 2025. Any minor adjustments to the schedule and format might still be made and can be viewed no later than January 18, 2026 on the updated website.

Registration for Trollingträff Åland 2026 will open on Monday 26.1.2026

What about Trollingträff Åland 2026?

Wonderful memories in the pictures from 2025! As usual, we enjoyed fishing, but also dinners, weigh-ins, award ceremonies, and great time together — even with a bit of windy weather!

We already have a date for 2026: June 3-6 2026, but as of today we still don’t know which EU regulations will apply.
The current proposal is that recreational fishing for both wild and fin-clipped salmon would be allowed in Åland from 1.6 to 31.8 which would mean that the competition can be held under basically the same rules as in 2025.
The EU Commission's Agriculture and Fisheries Council will hold its meeting at the end of October, and we hope a decision will be made so that we know which rules will apply in 2026!

We will prepare everything for 2026 to be able to open the registration as soon as possible when we know which rules apply!
Until then we wish you to keep your fingers crossed with us and book 3-6.6.2026 for Trollingträff Åland 2026 into your calendar!

Vi behöver fortfarande några hjälpande händer under Käringsund Triathlon 22-23.8.2025!
Om du ställer upp som TRAFIKVAKT så får du istället anmäla dig till Trollingträff Åland 2026 till en nedsatt deltagaravgift!

Vi en del krokar ute, men medan vi väntar på de svaren så lägger jag ut ett nytt utrop här.

Till följande poster behöver vi ännu folk:

Tider: Fredag kl. 16- max 19, lördag kl. 8.00- max 18

Trafikvakter J ( 1 person)
Plats; korsningen Bagargatan- Käringsundsvägen
Tider: Lördag kl. 9.45-16

Trafikvakter K,L ( 2 personer)
Plats; vid Centrumbaren, överfart över LV1
Tider: lördag kl. 9.45-16

Trafikvakter O, P + Q ( 3 personer)
Plats;
O och P: korsning Torpvägen – Skeppsviksvägen
Q: vändpunkt på Skeppsviksvägen
Tider: lördag kl. 10.00-16.00

Om du ställer upp som trafikvakt så jobbar du in 15€/ timme som får användas som "funktionärspengar" när du använder dig till ett annat Åland Event-evenemang dvs när det är dags att anmäla sig till tex Trollingträff Åland drar vi av den summa som har jobbat in under Käringsund Triathlon!
På fredag bjuds funktionärerna på pasta när jobbet är gjort, och på lördag ser vi till att du får lunch i dig under dagen!

För att få vara trafikvakt behöver du vara +18år, har körkort och kunna svenska!

One more time - a BIG thank you to everyone for Trollingträff Åland 2025! 🤩

We congratulate Team Big Catch Åland, Team Well-co and Jurai IT who were the three best teams in this year's competition. And Åland 🇦🇽 who won the Best Nation- competition!

No fishing today!

Due to the current weather, the temporary competition jury has made the decision to cancel today's fishing and thus Trollingträff Åland 2025 is over!

Today's timetable has been changed to the following:

* 10.00 Welcome to the warm sauna and hot tub by the sea
* 13.00 Lunch (instead of dinner at 17.00)
* 14.00 Final prize ceremony

No night fishing!

Due to strong winds we are canceling the planned night fishing. A new decision will be made at the skipper's meeting tomorrow at 7:00!
