On November 22, 2025 The Addis Ababa City Administration Culture, Arts and Tourism Bureau, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa City Administration Women, Children and Social Affairs Bureau, is known for organizing the annual Children and Parents Festival. This year as well, the festival was held at the Children and Youth Theatre.
During this festival, Katim was invited to present its inclusive stage performance based on our prior agreement. We delivered an 8-minute piece featuring the cultural dances of four nations and nationalities (Tigrinya, Afaan Oromo, Wolayta, and Amharic). The performance involved seven dancers—both dancers with disabilities and dancers without disabilities—showcasing a beautiful inclusive work.
After the performance, the organizers expressed their appreciation, mentioning that the audience enjoyed the show and gained valuable awareness from it.

Part 1
On November 8, at Juventois Club, we were invited to perform in front of a crowd of over a thousand people. We presented three pieces on stage: first, a Japanese cultural dance together with our Japanese friends; second, our own traditional cultural dances, which lasted for about eight minutes; and finally, a well-known Japanese cultural song called Shojoji. The entire performance was beautiful and truly amazing.

On October 1, Katim performed at the Safier Hotel for VNG International, which has been implementing the “We Are Able!” program from 2021 to 2025. The initiative focuses on empowerment, amplifying voices, and building resilience among persons with disabilities (PWD), especially those affected by food insecurity. The program will conclude in September 2025.
As part of the closing activities, Katim presented a performance together with individuals with intellectual disabilities. The first segment was a group song titled “We Can,” which lasted seven minutes. This was followed by a cultural showcase featuring more than four traditional Ethiopian dances performed by Katim members.

Our Japanese partners were also invited to watch us perform, and the experience was wonderful and well received.
