October is almost upon us, and there are just 2 rooms left on the Tour of Valencia — Wine and Olive Oil Tour.

This is seven days of riding along Spain's stunning east coast, from the bustling heart of Valencia all the way down to the sparkling Mediterranean at Moraira. The riding is relaxed and sociable (a solid 2 Banana pace), and the scenery along the way is something else.

The route takes in the high plateau vineyards above Requena, a glorious descent into Xàtiva, the pine forests and lavender of the Sierra de Mariola around Villena, and finally that last beautiful push down to the coast. Two to three wine and olive oil tastings along the way, gourmet picnic lunches, evening meals together, and all the little things that make a Cycle Retreats trip feel effortless.

Everything is taken care of: airport transfers, luggage transport, breakfasts, lunches, evening meals, kit washing, a qualified mechanic, GPX files, and a Cycle Retreats gift to take home.

The Tour of Portugal. Faro to Porto. 710km. 8,550m of climbing. Seven days of cycling that the Cycle Retreats Team have been planning with real care.

Arrive Faro on the evening of 3rd September 2027. Start riding on the 4th.

The route heads north through the Algarve, into the cork oak woodlands of the Serra do Caldeirão, across the vast open plains of the Alentejo where storks nest on every telegraph pole, through the central mountain queen stage with its long descents, down the Atlantic coastline into Porto, finishing at the Douro River on the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge.

Rated 3 out of 5 bananas. Suited to regular cyclists ready for something genuinely special.

Everything is taken care of. Airport transfers, daily luggage moves, hearty breakfasts, evening meals, picnic lunches from Bernard the Bus, a 6-week training programme before you travel, a qualified mechanic, the support car with snacks and drinks, kit washing, a pre-holiday rider pack, and a Cycle Retreats gift.

The Ladies Coached Weekender runs 5-9 November. Three spaces remain. It is a small, supported weekender with coaching woven through the rides, designed for women who want to ride, improve and have a genuinely good time while they are at it. No big groups. No racing.
