🏔️ Jour 4 – Chamonix ➡️ Vernayaz 🚵♂️🇫🇷🇨🇭
The final day of our Franco-Swiss crossing! And what a way to finish… ☀️😍
Blue skies, sunshine and a succession of “wow!” and “oh!” coming from the balcony of Le Galta à Coco — and continuing all the way into the van taking us to Chamonix!
And then… WOW! Mont Blanc finally showed itself! 🏔️🤩 After hiding behind the clouds for days, the view was absolutely breathtaking.
A short climb up to Col de Balme, where hikers on the Tour du Mont-Blanc were also out enjoying the incredible scenery. 🥾🏔️
Then came an amazing downhill trail: flowy, technical and vertiginous, taking us back into Switzerland 🇨🇭🔥
From there, we boarded the rack railway, another wonderfully vertiginous experience, before heading towards the impressive Emosson Dam. 😱🏔️
A walk at the foot of this gigantic structure… let’s just hope it holds! 😂
And finally, the ultimate descent of the adventure: a beautiful, highly technical and seriously fun ride from the heights of Finhaut all the way down towards the Rhône Valley. 🚵♂️💨
🔄 The loop is complete. The round-trip crossing is over.
4 days on the bikes + 1 well-deserved rest day = climbs, technical trails, unpredictable weather, mechanical problems, breathtaking landscapes, laughter, effort and, above all…
SO MANY SMILES AND INCREDIBLE MEMORIES. ❤️🏔️🚵♂️
