One of the first and most important things we teach in wingfoil lessons is this: keep your wing high. It might sound simple, but it makes a huge difference — both for beginners and for those looking to refine their technique.

Why is this so important?

≋Clear Vision:
Holding the wing high lets you see where you’re going. No more blind spots or blocked views. It gives you better awareness of your environment and helps you anticipate wind, waves, and other riders.

≋Stay Dry, Stay Smooth:
A low wing tends to dip into the water, especially when you're getting started. That kills your speed and balance. Keeping it up keeps you dry and moving forward with flow.

≋Aerodynamics Matter:
