More movement doesn’t necessarily mean more yoga.
You can move through dozens of postures, follow every transition, work harder, sweat more — and still barely notice what is happening within you.
Because movement and awareness are not the same thing.
When the practice slows down, something changes.
You begin to notice the breath before it becomes strained.
The tension you normally move past.
The impulse to leave a posture.
The habits and reactions that speed can easily hide.
Slowing down is not about making yoga easier.
It is about creating enough space to actually experience the practice.
In our latest article, Keith Richmond explores why fewer postures, longer holds, conscious breathing, and sustained attention can take us much deeper into what yoga was originally designed to cultivate.
Sometimes going deeper doesn’t mean doing more. It means becoming aware of more.
