Redshirt Senior year Gian earned Associated Press Honorable Mention All- American, NABC First Team All-District 17, USBWA All-District First Team, Mountain West Player of the Year (media and coaches, Mountain West First Team, Mountain West Defensive team. Led MW in league scoring 20.4 points per game, four games over 30+ points. Earned a spot on the MW All-Tournament team after leading the Rams to the championship game for the first time since 2003 and averaged 27.0 points in the three contests. Had over 1000+ points at the end of his career at Colorado State University. And finally became the fourth player in CSU to be named an All- American. While Gian was participating in the NBA summer League with The Miami Heat in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas. Within five games in Las Vegas he averaged 12.4 points 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 24.6 minutes while shooting 45.2 percent (19-of-42) from the field, 40.6 percent (13-of-32) from 3-point range and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the foul line. The former Colorado State standout went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft after earning Mountain West Player of the Year honors as a redshirt senior. And recently signed a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.
