What a couple of weeks 🤯 the roller coaster of 2020 keeps on rolling! Since that random foot injury and pulling out of the PTO Daytona championship, it’s been a whirlwind. Wearing a moon boot for my foot really put my back out, sliding me from one injury into another. Would have to say, my back is the most painful injury I’ve ever had. Also, super tough, mentally! Anyone who’s had a back injury knows how limiting it can be. Javi had to help me get dressed, I couldn’t lean forward, even enough to brush my teeth, or wash my hands over the sink. So obviously I couldn’t even think about being able to train.
Anyway, somehow within the sparse time I spent outside of the house, I managed to get covid 😫
*Mastering the art of patience here*
The covid symptoms I experienced weren’t too bad, luckily. I only had a sore throat, fevers, body aches, headaches... although it definitely didn’t help the back pain. But at least I didn’t have to wear pants for the next 12 days 🥳. I spent that time stuck in the bedroom while Javi was in the rest of the house (luckily he was negative)! Javi really upped his game and produced some chef quality meals, his new found cooking skills were definitely what I had to look forward to each day. He did everything he could to keep my spirits high ❤️ Thanks to all my lovely friends and family for the calls and messages ❤️☺️🥰!
I definitely got dealt a light version of covid and I’m grateful for that. Many people are not so fortunate. Cases and deaths are on a rapid rise, it’s so tough and unfair for anyone dealing with this illness, either personally or struggling with the repercussions that it is having on our lives. I hope the world will see better times soon! 🙏🏼😘
I’m on the up and out of isolation. It’s been months now without any exercise so I’m excited to start slowly moving again 👌🏼👍🏼!
