Tobi’s evening mowing session took an unexpected turn….

It turned into a full-blown aerial assault .

As it turns out, wasps don’t appreciate their home being redecorated by a ride-on mower.
I’m pretty sure she set a new land speed record for dismounting and running up the terrace. She is now sporting 8 new, very angry souvenirs including one right on the forehead 😖 Ouch…

Mower time…

Did anyone guess a mower?

Yep we’ve splashed out on a new tractor mower 🚜

We’ve worked out that we’ve roughly 17’000 square meters of grass to cut. That’s over double the size of Wembley stadium in the U.K. 😳

It also cost us €200 to have the local farmers cut it for us. So it makes sense the long run.

It has been a bit of a palaver to actually get it…

Firstly, living on a finca in the mountains we don’t actually have a postal address. 🤦🏼‍♂️ This makes it hard to order anything online. So I went to a local diy store m, Leroy Merlin. When I say local it’s about 40 minutes drive away. But they were great and let me order it to be delivered there.
The original order took 3 weeks to arrive (this is Spain) and I accepted it no problem.
I finally got the call it had arrived, so I jumped in the van and headed to pick it up. They loaded it on the van and I headed back to the farm.
I got back, started to unpack it and…

they had sent the wrong model 🤦🏼‍♂️

Not even close to what I ordered. So I packed it back up and back to the store I went. They realised the mistake and unloaded it from the van again.
They were quicker in getting a replacement, about a week. But… it was the wrong model again…
Luckily they noticed before I had gone to the store again.

Now a week on from there we finally have the correct machine 🙌🏼

We can finally cut the grass on our terraces.

🙌🏼 whoop whoop. Finally It’s new toy day. After 5weeks of waiting it’s finally here… (and the right one…)
