A much needed chilled Sunday ride, bacon butties at Tintern and a pint at the boat ! Lovely ☺️

I needed this today, been a rough few weeks for lots of reasons! Mini Enduro Fod world champs was a blast, had a great crew out today and the vibes were amazing. Bagged top spot by a convincing margin even though I didn’t feel like I had the energy! That’s a wrap for this year as far as racing goes, time to start planning for next year 😂.

Enduro2 Meribel ! What an event, 3 days, over 2 hours of timed descending and some of the best trails and views the Alps has to offer! I gave it everything but clearly not enough 😂 with one stage win and some 2nd and 3rd placed stages I just didn’t have it in the tank to keep up the intensity! Finished 6th in the over 77 cat with Tig Arnott Despite his best efforts to spur me on the legs had left the chat 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 time for some chill time now before the Naughty Northumbrian 😬

Feels like it’s all been a bit full on for the last few weeks, nice to just have a day to cruise around on the old hog ! Coffee and a burger at the Baffle Haus ? Oooh go on then 😋😊

Well Ard Rock did not quite go as planned 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ A crash on stage 4 and a race ending puncture mid way down stage 5 ! It was great type 2 fun in the howling gale on the ridge line and awesome to see friends and meet new people on the way round ! The Norco Bicycles Sight was faultless as usual, just maybe need the Continental MTB dh tyres and not Enduro casing 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Race recap….. hot and wild 🤪 round 3 of the BNES took us to Dyfi for some fresh cut stages! Hot weather and some sketchy corners made for an exciting weekend. Didn’t feel consistent and had a mix of stage results, lost loads of time on stage one where the track had degraded to a point of no return 😂 so happy to come away with 4th on the day and a couple of 2nd place stage times. Onwards to the next…. Always lovely to spend a weekend with my partner in crime doing what we do! Melanie Nykamp 😊

Race weekend recap ! A very hot and sweaty one indeed…. Seeding stage crash left me a lot of work to do on race day, 9th place at the start of the day and then another crash on stage one had me questioning my choices 🤣 Hard reset needed and started to gather some momentum… managed to get some good solid stages in and claw back a 4th place finish! Kudos to all who made it round in the heat and a massive shout out to Scott and his crew at for putting on another great weekend! Gutted to have missed out on a podium but their was plenty of silverware bagged by some of the Forest locals 👊🏻👊🏻
