⛳️🌞 Fore Golf Society — Spring Meeting at Saurines!

What a fantastic day out yesterday for the Fore Golf Society at Saurines — sunshine, great company, a few heroic recoveries, and more than a couple of “I definitely hit that straight” moments. The course gave us everything: perfect fairways for some, scenic walks through the rough for others, and sand… well, plenty of sand for those who fancied a beach day.

But rising above the chaos, the laughter, and the questionable club choices was one man on a mission…

🎉 Huge congratulations to our Spring Meeting champion, Steve Hughes, who delivered an excellent 36 points to take the win. Calm, consistent, and clearly not distracted by the rest of us hunting for balls in places balls should never be. Rumour has it he even found the fairway more than once — inspirational stuff.

Brilliant golf, Steve — enjoy the bragging rights while they last. The rest of us will be reviewing our swings, our tactics, and possibly our life choices before the next outing.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a cracking day. Roll on the next event — and may the golfing gods be kind to us all.

⛳️ Fore Golf Society — El Valle This Sunday

We’re heading back out this Sunday for a fantastic day at El Valle, and the excitement is already building. The course is looking superb, the weather is set fair, and the group is shaping up to be a brilliant mix of familiar faces and new energy.

El Valle always gives us a proper test — sweeping fairways, strategic bunkers, and those trademark greens that reward a steady hand. It’s one of those courses that brings out the best in everyone, whether you’re chasing a personal best or just soaking up a great day with the society.

We now have just one space remaining for this outing. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is your chance to step in and enjoy a cracking Sunday round with the Fore Golf Society.

⛳️ Fore Golf Society – Next Game at Condado de Alhama

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to dust off the clubs, this is it. Condado de Alhama is firmly back on form — stunning layout, superb greens, and that trademark challenge that keeps every golfer coming back for more.

Our last visit reminded us just how special this course is. The team there are restoring it to its former glory, and you can feel the difference on every hole. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just craving a great day out with the Society, Condado delivers.

Places for the next game are limited, and they’ll go fast.

☀️ FORE Golf Society – Hacienda Riquelme Round-Up

After a blustery and painfully slow Saturday at El Valle, Sunday at Hacienda Riquelme felt like a breath of fresh air.

…and gracious that course was in superb condition, greens a delight to putt on too and all players sharing delights of the success of some superb driving and long putts to secure those birdies and pars.

The sun finally made an appearance, the winds eased (well… slightly), and although they still caused a bit of mischief on a few holes, the day had that perfect “this is why we play” energy.

The course was buzzing with a busy field, and the atmosphere had that classic FORE GS mix of friendly competition, familiar smiles, and new faces joining the fun.

💫 A First for FORE GS: An All‑Lady Top 3

History made. Confidence high. Scorecards matching.

All three top spots landed on 29 points (yep, the wind did play havoc) leaving the final order to be decided on countback.

🏆 Results

• 1st Place – Bel
Edging it on countback and flying the flag for the co‑founders.
• 2nd Place – Dee
Matching the winning score and keeping it tight to the very end with a gorgeous par on the 18th.
• 3rd Place – Susan Crawford
Also on 29 points, completing a brilliant all‑female podium.

A huge well done to all three — what a moment for the society.

🌿 Sunshine, Laughter & Great Company

It was wonderful to see so many regulars back out on the fairways, and equally lovely to welcome new players into the FORE GS family. After Saturday’s chaos, Sunday felt like the perfect reset.

The Fore Golf Society continues its amazing start of the season with our very first FORE New Year Trophy, and what a day it was. Lo Romero delivered everything we love — sunshine, challenge, and greens so pure they almost felt enchanted.

✨ A New Year, A New Energy

As many of you know, 2025 was the Year of the Snake — a time for shedding old skins, releasing what no longer serves us, and stepping into clarity.

Now we gallop boldly into 2026 — the Year of the Horse.
A year symbolising:

• 🐎 Community and shared purpose

And honestly… could there be a more perfect metaphor for the Fore Golf Society right now?

We send her off with huge support for the exciting career ahead.

The leaderboard reflected the energy of the day:
• 🥈 Runner‑Up: Caz Marritt Clarke — 35 points
A composed, classy round.
• 🥇 Winner: Bobby Ferguson — 39 points
A superb performance that crowns him our first back‑to‑back champion, following his December win at La Finca.
The man is on a gallop of his own.

⛳ FORE Golf Days – Come Play With Us!

Our 2026 season is already in full swing and we love seeing our community growing, connecting, and exploring new courses together.

Friday 16th – Lo Romero
This one filled up fast and we’re currently running a waitlist. If you’d still like a chance to play, pop your name down — spaces do open up.

Sunday 25th January – Hacienda Riquelme
We’ve got a handful of spots available for this one, so if you fancy joining us for a great day out on a beautiful course (with our usual heavily discounted rates), now’s the moment.

Sunday 1st February – El Valle
We’re heading back to our home course and would love to see both familiar faces and new players out on the fairways.

📣FORE Golf Society Competition Report

El Valle – Thursday 08/01/26

☀️ The season continued its great start and rolled on with style as the Society returned to its home turf at El Valle.

A tidy and enthusiastic field headed out under bright sunshine and a playful breeze , perfect conditions to kick off another competitive day on familiar fairways.

👋We were thrilled to welcome three new members making their FORE debuts: Joe Kerrigan, Kenny Morris, and John McAuley. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we look forward to seeing you back at El Valle again soon🙏

⛳️Home advantage didn’t make the course any less demanding, but that didn’t stop some excellent scoring across the board. Rising above the pack was Omid Nabbey, delivering a superb round of 75 to claim both Scratch Winner and Overall Stableford Winner honours.

A brilliant performance.🍾

A huge thank you to all our members and guests who’ve signed up and continue to bring such enthusiasm, camaraderie, and class to every event. Your support is what makes this community feel so vibrant and alive.

⛳👏2026 Teed Off in Style: A Standout Day for Fore Golf Society at El Valle⛳👏

What a way to tee off the New Year!

Fore Golf Society kicked off 2026 in style at our HOME course, El Valle, with one of the strongest and most exciting fields we’ve ever assembled, across all levels. We’re absolutely thrilled to be playing regularly at El Valle and delighted to see how the Society continues to grow. December saw us welcome a series of new members, and that momentum has carried straight into the New Year.

The golfing gods smiled on us, the weather behaved, and a brilliant day was enjoyed by everyone involved.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome four outstanding gentlemen from the Stephen Gallacher Foundation in Scotland. As we all know, Stephen is a giant of Scottish golf – Ryder Cup player and current Junior Ryder Cup Captain – so to host representatives from his foundation was a real honour.

A huge welcome to Stuart Johnston, Jake Johnston, Harry Bent, and Callum Kenneally. Stuart, who runs the foundation, is still playing off a remarkable scratch handicap, while Jake, Harry, and Callum are all plus-3 players currently on scholarships in the USA. The level of talent on display was exceptional, but just as impressive was the warmth and professionalism they brought to El Valle – something that certainly won’t be forgotten. They were also hugely complimentary about the course, which was great to hear.

We’re excited about developing this relationship further and continuing to bring top-class golf to El Valle. A massive thank you to GNK Golf for extending their courtesy to the guys – they’ll be a key part of growing this partnership going forward.

On the results front, the Scratch Winner was Jake Johnston, firing an excellent 72. The Points Winner, however, produced a round he’ll remember forever – 14-year-old Jack Windsor, who carded a gross 78 less 17! Yes, the handicap has since been adjusted 😄. This marks a huge step in Jack’s development, and in recognition of his performance, Stuart and the boys have invited him to join them for a round on Wednesday at La Manga. Enjoy every minute, Jack!

Thanks to everyone who took part. With new members joining, great relationships forming, and unforgettable golf being played, we’ll continue to build, grow, and improve throughout the year – but what a start it’s been. ⛳👏
