5 myths men STILL believe about losing stubborn stomach fat…
And why so many spend YEARS trying to get lean, only to end up back where they started.
❌ MYTH 1: You need endless cardio and ab workouts.
You cannot spot-reduce stomach fat.
200 crunches won’t burn the fat covering your abs.
And hours of running aren’t the answer either.
Lift weights 2–3x per week, walk daily and control your calorie intake.
Build muscle. Lose fat. Reveal the abs.
❌ MYTH 2: Getting lean requires an extreme, boring diet.
Most men go to one of two extremes.
Either chicken and rice 6 times a day out of Tupperware.
Or slashing calories as low as possible, ignoring protein, essential fats and muscle preservation.
Neither is necessary.
You can get lean eating as little as 2 meals per day.
Meat, fish, potatoes, fruits, vegetables and endless combinations of seasonings.
No bland meals. No hours in the kitchen.
Just sufficient protein, healthy fats and a controlled calorie deficit.
❌ MYTH 3: You need to live in the gym.
Most busy men don’t have 10 hours a week to train.
And they don’t need them.
I train around 2 hours per week.
Short, intense sessions focused on progressive overload and taking sets to failure.
2–3 structured workouts per week can transform your physique.
❌ MYTH 4: It’s all genetics.
They’re not an excuse for carrying a belly for the next 20 years.
I’ve helped hundreds of men transform without exceptional genetics.
Your habits matter more than your excuses.
❌ MYTH 5: You’ll have to count calories forever.
Getting lean requires a calorie deficit.
STAYING lean doesn’t mean dieting forever.
Build muscle, establish simple food routines and learn to manage your intake.
I’ve maintained around 9% body fat for years without tracking calories.
I travel. Eat out regularly. Enjoy my food.
The goal isn’t to spend your life losing stomach fat.
It’s to build a physique you’re proud of and KEEP it.
