As I’m learning crooked grinds, I can’t help but visually think that in Spanish it sounds like croquet, AKA “croqueta” (kroh-KEH-tah), or “le croquette” for more refined palates. First try sketches looked like a piece of s**t doing it. I beg for your understanding, it’s my first CROQUETTE. 🤪

First time using my new graphic tablet too, it might change how I approach some skate graphics, going into more figurative stuff.

🛹Just finished these ones after a long time. Like other stuff, some pieces land in the drawer and stay there a while. It was time to rescue them. I wanted to play with something simple to represent skateboarding in the city, a ramp as a geometric icon repeated across different scenes could do the work. At the beginning the design was way more simple, only the ramp and the wall. Working through variations, the car one drove the rest of the conversation. Again, skateboarding graphics beyond skulls and blood. These art prints can hang anywhere, reminding us of what we enjoy most.



Skateboarding Wall ride improvised on the side of any neighbourhood building. Watch out for the neighbors and their falling flower pots. Print number one of the series.

Wall ride para el patín improvisado en la pared de cualquier edificio del barrio. Cuidado que no te tiren macetas los vecinos. Primera lámina de la serie.

Classic jump ramp over a classic early 90s car. Empty parking lot, a slappy in a scene we skaters have all faced or dreamed of. Second one of the print series.

Clásica jump ramp por encima de un coche clásico de inicio de los 90. Parking vacío, un slappy, una escena que todos los skaters hemos vivido o soñado patinar. Segunda de la serie de láminas.

The most cluttered one in this skate print series, maybe overcooked. Probably Amsterdam. A circular wall ride I for sure wouldn’t be able to land, but would love to see. Third skate wall art in the series.

El más recargado de esta serie de láminas patín. Probablemente Amsterdam. Un wall ride circular que seguro no podría bajar, pero que me encantaría ver. Tercera pieza skate wall art de la serie.

Strange eclipse shadows spotted across the Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area

🌚🌞🛹News on loop about the eclipse, over and over. Since I’m not taking photos of this one, this is my way to picture it. First idea was the black circle as a full pipe, a skater’s shadow grabbing the nose doing an old school kickturn. Scrapped it. A skater standing on top of the moon was simpler and more direct, just vectors and dithering. Anything I see gets unconsciously translated to skateboarding in my head. Do you as well?

First total solar eclipse over the Iberian Peninsula in over a century. Madrid gets the almost, not the full dark.

Las noticias del eclipse de fondo en bucle, una y otra vez. Ya que no voy a hacer fotos, así es como lo imagino. La primera idea era usar el círculo negro como un full pipe, la sombra de un skater agarrando el patín por el nose en un kickturn old school. La descarté. Un skater de pie sobre la luna era más simple y más directo, solo vectores y dithering. Todo lo que veo se traduce sin querer en patín, en mi cabeza. ¿A ti también te pasa?

Primer eclipse total de Sol sobre la península ibérica en más de un siglo. Madrid se queda en el casi, no en la oscuridad total.

De visita al DIY de Casa Mingo, Madrid, patinando con el único de nuestros streeteros al que aún le quedan piernas.
Vincent haciendo un wallie. ¿Dónde está Wally? El módulo es precioso para quien sabe patinarlo. Intenté un nosebonk de salida y casi me rompo el pie. Cosas de la edad y de que está cuesta arriba. El que sabe, lo goza ahí.
