During our last Who Says Padel camp with , he explained a simple idea using something from human history. 🛡️🎾

When humans used a shield, they naturally placed it on the forearm to protect themselves.

In padel, blocking a fast ball at the net works in a very similar way: racket in front, backhand position, protecting the body and controlling the ball.

A simple example that makes the technique much easier to understand.

You don’t have the feeling. Why? 👀🎾

Rodri Ovide explains it with something as simple as throwing a set of keys to someone.

You don’t calculate the exact force, angle or trajectory. Your hand naturally adjusts the movement so the keys arrive where you want.

In padel, it’s the same with the racket.

That feeling helps you control the racket face, manage the speed of the ball, choose the right amount of force and place the shot instead of just hitting it.

The better the connection between your hand, the racket and the ball, the more control and confidence you have on court.
