Rooted in the Real - ABSENT 📱
If you’ve noticed I’ve been a bit of a ghost on here lately, maybe for a month, or honestly, close to a year—you aren’t imagining things.
Being a coach and nutritionist takes up so much of my daily social energy. By the time the day wraps up, my social battery is at zero, and honestly? I just don’t want to post. When I finally get downtime with my partner, my family, and myself, my phone is the last thing I care about.
Of course, the nagging voice in the back of my head always whispered that stepping away would cost me followers and sponsors. And honestly? It did. It wasn’t just a fear; it actually happened.
But life doesn’t happen through a screen. I wish I had the reflex to whip out my phone every time a gorgeous moment passes by, but I’m usually just too busy actually living it. I’m forever grateful when my loved ones take vacation photos so I can just exist in the memory, not behind a lens. When I’m training or competing, my head is completely in the game. And posting my food? Come on—I love eating too much to pause for a photo shoot 😅.
Social media has never come naturally to me, and I’m starting to accept that it probably never will.
So, if you’ve been wondering what i‘ve been up to: I’m just out here trying to make a real, tangible impact, helping people find health and fitness in the offline world. I don’t have any immediate plans to step back on stage right now (though the itch is always there), mostly because I’ve just hit a huge real-life milestone: I just bought my very first property! 🏡✨
What is one thing in your own life that you refuse to monetize or digitize for the sake of keeping it entirely sacred?
