After scarifying comes the next step: fairway aeration.
This process creates small holes in the turf to improve soil aeration, encourage stronger root growth, and allow water and nutrients to reach the root zone more effectively.
While fairways 1–9 undergo both scarifying and aeration due to their greater maturity, the newer fairways 10–18 only require aeration at this stage, as they have not yet developed the level of organic matter that makes scarifying necessary.
It's an essential part of keeping the course healthy, resilient and in excellent playing condition throughout the season.

Después del escarificado llega el siguiente paso: el pinchado de las calles.
Este proceso consiste en realizar pequeñas perforaciones en el terreno para mejorar la aireación del suelo, favorecer el desarrollo de las raíces y facilitar la entrada de agua y nutrientes.
Mientras que las calles del 1 al 9, por ser las más maduras, necesitan tanto el escarificado como el pinchado, las del 10 al 18, al ser más jóvenes, solo requieren el pinchado en esta fase, ya que todavía no han acumulado la materia orgánica que hace necesario el escarificado.
Es un trabajo fundamental para mantener un césped sano, fuerte y preparado para ofrecer las mejores condiciones de juego durante toda la temporada.
