Scott Thomas Wepfer 4/23/1964 - 4/21/2026

3 months ago today Dad called me from his home in Nairobi, Kenya to tell me he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
Less than 3 months later he was gone.

My father was an incredibly earnest man with an ever present desire to help others. A third generation pharmacist from a tiny town in Wisconsin, he went on to open one of the first compounding only pharmacies in the country in 1995, the same year his third child was born. Even long after he and my mother sold the pharmacy, Dad never stopped wanting to help others in any way he could. He loved to learn, travel, and try new things. His love of travel and his fond memories of his time in Italy absolutely shaped who I am, my choice to study Italian, and my passion for travel. Dad also loved the outdoors and from an early age took us camping, hiking, fishing, and so on. Summers spent camping in Wisconsin with his entire family were some of my fondest childhood memories. He also loved to ballroom dance, having danced competitively in colleg and growing up waltzing around the kitchen with him after he got home from work are more cherished memories I'll never forget. I could go on and on forever but I will just say that while my dad was certainly not a perfect man, he always tried his best and is leaving behind a family that will miss him dearly. Two days short of 62 was far too young and I cannot tell you how much I'll miss him every single day.

I love you forever, Scotty Boy.
I promise to always save you a waltz and the last bite of my ice cream cone. I'll see you out there.
Love, your Lexa Girl ❤️
