It was reported today that Peyton Manning will probably get the franchise tag and make $23 million for the one year of 2012. Unless the Colts offer him a long term deal which would be less annually but worth well over $100 million for 7 to 10 years.

In the past, players share of the $9 Billion was 60%. With the owners wanting more $$, the players share will go down drastically. Does that mean their payroll would have to be cut?

On Tuesday the two sides met and had plans to meet today but the two sides were so far apart from agreement that the only thing they agreed upon was cancelling the scheduled meeting for today. Meaning it was pointless.

The NFL brings in $9 Billion a year! With the old agreement the team owners shared $1 Billion prior to seasons start to get things rolling. They now want $2 Billion! Fair?
