UNPOPULAR OPINION… I DON’T BELIEVE IN MICROBLADING ANYMORE! 👀

And here’s why I’ve completely moved away from it in my cosmetic tattoo career.

This client came to me with previous microblading, wanting something fuller, softer and more defined.

We created a beautiful Nano Combination Brow, combining delicate machine hairstrokes with soft shading to give her that fuller, fluffy brow look without harsh, blocky results. 🤎

SO WHY DON’T I MICROBLADE ANYMORE?

Traditional microblading uses a manual blade to create tiny incisions in the skin, whereas Nano Hyper-Realistic Brows use a digital tattoo machine to implant pigment through carefully placed needle punctures.

In my experience, machine nano techniques allow me to have greater control over my depth, pigment placement and the overall softness of my work.

And when performed correctly, they can be a gentler option for suitable skin types.

That doesn’t mean microblading can never produce beautiful results, but personally, I believe machine hairstrokes are a better fit for the natural, refined results I want to create.

NANO DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN LIGHT OR BARELY THERE!

You can have beautifully natural hairstrokes AND a fuller, more defined brow.

It’s all about choosing the right technique for your skin, existing pigment and desired result.

💋 LIP BLUSH — because natural doesn’t mean boring.

The goal with lip blush isn’t to create a harsh lipstick outline or completely change your lips. It’s about enhancing what you already have.

For this transformation, we focused on:

✨ Soft, even shading throughout the lips
✨ No harsh border or obvious lip line
✨ Enhancing the natural shape rather than drawing outside it
✨ Improving uneven or pale areas of colour
✨ Creating a fresher, healthier-looking lip tone
✨ Building pigment gradually rather than oversaturating the skin

And remember — fresh lip blush is NOT the final colour. Immediately after tattooing, the lips will appear brighter and more saturated. As they heal, the colour softens significantly and settles into a much more natural tint.

The result we’re chasing is that “Are her lips tattooed or are they naturally that colour?” look. 👀

Less is best. We can always add more at the perfecting session, but beautiful lip blush should complement your face — not overpower it.

👁️ Lash Line Enhancement — easily one of the most UNDERRATED procedures in cosmetic tattooing.

It’s subtle enough that people shouldn’t look at you and think “she’s had eyeliner tattooed.” Instead, pigment is carefully worked through the lash line to create the illusion of darker, fuller lashes and naturally defined eyes.

No thick eyeliner. No dramatic wing. Just that tiny bit of definition that can make the entire eye look brighter and more polished. ✨

And this is exactly why I teach it to my students.

Technique matters — placement, depth, stretch, pigment choice and understanding the delicate skin around the eye all play a part in creating a beautiful result.

✨ A good artist never stops learning.

One thing I will ALWAYS invest in is my education.

Even after years in this industry and now teaching my own students, I still make sure I complete at least 2–3 trainings every year to continue upskilling, refining my techniques and learning from other artists.

This year, one of those was completing the Pink Lotus 3D Ar**la Training. 🤍

Because no matter how experienced you become, there is ALWAYS something you can take away from another artist — a different technique, a different way of looking at colour, placement, dimension or even just one little tip that changes the way you work.

And that’s something I want my own students to understand too.

✨ Sometimes the smallest change makes the BIGGEST difference. ✨

Nano machine hairstrokes don’t need to completely transform your eyebrows to transform your face.

Sometimes it’s simply about adding a few strategically placed strokes where the natural hair is sparse, extending the tail slightly, creating a little more lift, or balancing one brow with the other.

That’s exactly why I love this technique. 🤍

We’re not trying to replace your natural eyebrows — we’re working with your existing hair growth and filling in what’s missing.

The result?

Soft. Fluffy. Balanced. And most importantly… still YOU.

When you look closely, you can see the individual machine hairstrokes flowing alongside the real brow hairs. From a normal distance, you shouldn’t be able to tell where the natural hair finishes and the tattoo begins.
