Thea soared to 14.47m this afternoon, once again flying the Dominica flag high on the world stage among an elite field of jumpers.

With the Diamond League circuit now concluded, our attention turns to the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship, set to take place from 11-13 September 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

The championship will bring together Olympic Champions, World Champions, Diamond League Champions and the top 16 ranked athletes of 2026 in selected events to compete for the prestigious title of Ultimate Champion, truly determining the best of the best in world athletics.

Dominica will be represented on this elite global stage by Thea LaFond-Gadson – Women's Triple Jump (Olympic Champion and current 2026 World Leader with a massive 15.25m national record)

As our beautiful flag colors will be proudly on display, on the global stage once again, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Thea as she carries the hopes of the Nature Island to Budapest! πŸ‡©πŸ‡²βœˆοΈ
