With two decades dedicated to the art of sprint kayaking, my journey has evolved from athlete to coach. 🚣♂️ While my exploration briefly touched upon rafting and white water sports, it's sprint kayaking that captured my unwavering passion.
In 2012, I ventured into the realms of sport science, diving deep into a Master's program in sports technology. 🎓 It was during this educational pursuit that I embarked on kayak-focused student projects, igniting a passion for research. 🔍
The culmination of my academic journey led me to secure funding for a PhD, a pivotal moment that aligned perfectly with my lifelong dedication to the sport. 🎓 With unwavering enthusiasm, my doctoral research centered on the intricate world of kayaking.
My devotion to the sport, coupled with academic prowess, fuels my commitment to propel athletes towards peak performance while continuously advancing the realm of kayaking through research and coaching expertise. 🏆
Even while coaching, I'm constantly working on my own game. You'll often find me on the kayak ergometer, gunning for better sprint performance on the 200m. 🌟 It's my way of staying in sync with the grind, experiencing firsthand what it takes to push limits and improve in the competitive arena. This personal journey fuels my coaching style, ensuring I bring a real-world understanding to the table when guiding athletes toward their best performance. 💪
